  1. Yes we have had a good amount of flying with the new Flexifoil Fury here in New Zealand. Just a really easy and good fun kite. People who have had a play of mine love it and so do I. I'm no pro stunt kite flyer or anything but this Fury is alot of fun.

    Storm 3

I now own the Strike in 17mtr and 13mtr here in Nz with a hope of a 9mtr or 7mtr on it's way soon if funds allow. What size do you guys say, as I have never used a Strike smaller than the 13mtr ??? I was also hoping to get a larger Storm III like around 22mtr or so, what's this that they will only be up to 18.5mtr ? I'm a big guy and wanted that bit extra in lite winds........ ((I'm 118kgs)) BTW Regards Pat www.bayswaterwindsports.co.nz

Hi there again. The Naki can get very very wild most of the time. Lots of rocks and not only small rocks I mean bloody big rocks too. It's great windsurfing with high winds and big waves, but only advance here kiters or go out on the few light wind days a month to get in to the grove of the place. It can get cold too. Auckland in winter is a 3/2 steamer with a rash shirt some times where the Naki in about 5mm in winter with a rash shirt. Wellington just gets to cold and also has real high winds also. There is some good west coast kiting off Auckland North and South with big long sandy beaches, no rocks. I know that Raglans not bad, but you have to watch the the river rip down there. There is another good harbour below Raglan called Kafier I think, (Spelling not there but sounds like that) which is a really nice spot for windsurfing and kiting. Apart from that I do not know too much more about the west coast. Hope this helps somewhat. Pat J

Hi there, I live in Auckland infact have a Kiting shop that stocks Flexifoil over here. www.bayswaterwindsports.co.nz Your folks can get a great country life on the out side of Auckland with a 30min drive in to the suburbs on Auckland you will have every thing you need. Like South East of Auckland towards the sea there are some sweet kiteboarding spots that bugger all people go to. Just a bit out of the way for a lot of people. Look up this place. Maraetai Beach. I used to like there it's on the east coast. All around that tiny little bunch of houses and it's boat club is all farm land on one side and water on the other. But the good thing is between 10min drive up or down the coast you can have really good kiting from any direction. That would be might spot of choice for a quite life and great kiting to boot. Well welcome to Nz anyway. Pat J
