No doubt you've never heard of it, but UHI? Based in Inverness, courses are mainly outdoor type (fishing, farming, tourism etc)
Loads of empty beaches up here though...
Findhorn is getting more popular - I've only been flying since January, and have seen a fair increase over the last 6 months.
At Nairn the choice is either a close beach that's not wide enough to buggy, or a wider stretch but a 10 minute walk from the car park
Another option I've yet to try is Dornoch airfield according to andy on http://www.kitehq.co.uk - a 1km stretch from e to w so good for s or n winds. Very exposed site
I'm just about to get my first kite, so looking for some advice on what to get.
Since I'll be visiting my other half's family in Cambridge from Xmas eve until Sunday 28th before heading back to Inverness - no kite shops
where's the best place to go to meet other flyers and have a chat with people who can offer some advice? I'm planning a kite now (
