  1. Com'on guys! I know it's a bit of a tedious question, but I need an answer before I can make any more purchases!! I asked in my local Flexi supplier, but they didn't really have a clue...
  2. Hi all! Was hoping someone could answer a quick question for me: Would the bar I bought for my 4.5 Bullet (65cm) work properly with a Blade 2/3?? To put this into context, I want to pick up a 2nd hand Blade to supplement my Bullet for landboarding use primarily, and I'm hoping to be able you my shiny new bar with the Blade. Will this be straight forward?? Also, I guess I could do with some recommendations about what is preferable out of the new and slightly older Blades. I think that the B3 has more power per metre than the B2, so I am probably deciding between a B2 ~6m and a B3 4.9m. Would these seem equivalent?? I've heard totally conflicting stories about how stable the B3 is, so I'm tempted to go for a B2 since just about everyone agrees it is a classic kite! Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom!! Tom.
  3. icanfly: I guess what I'm wondering is, can you get cross-over kits for Bullets then? And if I'm thinking of buying a second, more powerful kite in the future, would I be able to use the bar I buy for a bullet with it?? Cheers Tom.
  4. Could someone please tell me if you can do a 3/4-line setup with a flexi bullet? I bought my Bullet 4.5 on handles a while back, but have contemplated switching to a bar for boarding purposes ever since. (Also am planning to get a harness, which I'll use on the stronger days and with my next, bigger kite.) Does it matter what make/type of bar I buy? I mean, do I have to get a flexifoil bar to go with the bullet? And if I did, would it work with a kite like the Little Devil (which I'm thinking about as my next purpose)?? Thanks for help, guys! Tom.
  5. Hi guys, Am pretty much a newbie to this whole kite boarding game, but I'm dead keen, and am trying to get the hang of it as quickly as I can. Am looking forward my time off over Christmas as a chance to get some proper sessions in! I am wondering if anyone could suggest where I'm going wrong: Have got a 4.5m Bullet, and Scrub Furnace Creek, and find that I can never manage to point myself downwind. I think this might be partly to do with the bindings: I am finding it extremely difficult to put my weight forward enough to turn the board in that direction. I have my bindings pretty loose anyway, because it's more forgiving for beginners, but still can't shuffle my feet forward towards the toe-side of the board. I tend to start off just under 45degrees off the wind, then try to turn the board to run perpendicular to the wind, but when I snake upwind a little bit more I find it impossible to get back. Also, I don't know how it should be set up, but my board seems pretty-darned loose. Is this how it should be for kiting? I did get some serious speed-wobbles when I was downhilling with just the board. By the way, how quickly do people manage to turn on their boards? I've had a couple of guys who are more experienced than me comment that my board seems particularly slow to change direction. Is there anything much I can do to adjust that, or is it the nature of the board?? Cheers guys! Tom.
  6. Just wondering if anybody here's gonna be up at Queens this Sat/Sun? Just moved to the area, and haven't found the time on the weekend to scope out decent flying sites. What's it like at this time of year anyway?? Won't have my board this weekend, but looking forward to taking my 4.5 bullet for a spin! Already feels like it's been too long.... God-damned short winter days!
