  1. Ahh I see- sounds like the guerilla will be more suitable for my needs If I am gonna get wet soon then thanks for the enlightenment though
  2. I've heard about this F-Arc thingy aimed at landboarders is soon to be released Anyone know when and if it is worth waiting for over the guerilla? Also is it water friendly and has it a lei type depower system? How much will it cost does it have a nice bag etc etc
  3. Homepage takes 2 long to load with all those fancy graphics Board could be fun on aircraft runways though - its hard 2 say cos pics are cr@p
  4. what about lug worm diggers? they must be the stupidest of the lot - leaving those bloody great craters everywhere, and have you noticed, no matter how far away they are you always get mysteriously drawn towards them as your speed increases - Spooky!
  5. Cheers guys - will look into the flysurfers Have been looking at the Guerillas - could be the answer because I could use the same kite on land or sea thanks for the input Peter
  6. Anyone got any ideas what would be a good kite for landboarding with a similar depower system to LEI's- I would like to learn to use this style of flying before I get out on the water. At present using bullets and blades on handles would the frenzy 04 be a good option or should i get a LEI and just practice on the beach when no-one is looking! also what size would be best for covering maximum windrange as i have noticed this type of kite is most EXPENSIVE!! cheers Pete
  7. Who is the greater enemy of the beach kiter? I've eaten sand because of both please share your experiences or opinions
  8. Seems like this is happening to everyone - oh good least its not just me! Clean off the old glue ( with lamp oil/paraffin type stuff) I put the pads in place then drew around them with skinny felt pen - then "key" in the to be glued area of the board with some fine sandpaper (till all the shiny disappears) Used a contact adhesive ( Bostic "soft plastics") on both surfaces and left dry untill tacky - stick pads on board and hey presto no more problems! Sonds a bit involved reading it back but it only took half an hour! PS the leftover parrafin is wicked for soaking the sand outa your bearings then spray them with 3 in one "sillicone" spray lubricant - its water resistant and the sand dosent stick to it like the old WD40
  9. When my blade 4.9 gets scary I finds that my bullet 2.5 gives me all the pull I need. The kite is also very stable in gusty winds I found the li'l devil a bit quick thru the sky - Just my humble opinion though Been using a bullet 1.5 in the recent 30-40mph gales and found that u get a decent and predictable pull on that also But if its height your after forget the bullets!
  10. Well it brought you to your knees twice last Saturday mr 6'2 blue eyes GSOH!
  11. Better get used to the power of my bullet 1.5 first!

Well thats 2-1 to the Air-S Though some other threads about stuff wearing out after 5 rides are a bit of a concern (cups etc) as maintenence isnt exactly my middle name Perhaps there is another board that I havn't yet considered? Should I only be looking at skateboard style trucks or is suspension the way to go - I would like to keep this board for a long time and not need to upgrade after a couple of months of use Cheers for advice
