  1. Congrats John hope all the family is doing well, see you on saturday.
  2. Try Ebay , search for dry suit, there is a guy selling loads of them for £60, they are the sort of thing the coastguard and rescue services wear. waterproof, big zip, seals around neck and wrists and fitted boots. Just bought one seems great but you will sweat in it. :p
  3. Hi heres a couple of pics of my home-made buggy. Now has 8x18 tyres and is used regularly ay hoylake and ainsdale.
  4. Hi, I'd be interested in getting a licence and only live local so can probably fit in fairly easily with what ever gets organised.

    Oxigen ??

Hi I've got a 6.2 oxygen pro, a brilliant kite. Very smooth, pulls like a train and brilliant quality. For the price they can't be beaten-even by some much dearer kites. :D
  6. See you there tomorrow and sunday, good luck all and have a blast:D
  7. Hi Simon, If it's any help I've got a 6.2 oxygen pro that I'm made up with. I usually fly elliots but bought this to try and have been well impressed. It has huge pull but is very smooth and linear, it just keeps pulling with no huge shocks. It has even given a couple of race kites something to think about:D . doesn't seem to worried about wether the wind is smooth or lumpy. Flew it earlier in the week in about 20 mile an kour winds but got a bit out of hand and had a large OBE:eek: , at least i amused everyone else that was there. The quality is excellent, i've had a look at the standard oxygen and apart from the material ba little heavier they seem to be built just as well. Cheers Gary:D

    U-Turn kites

As zman said I am made up with my 6.2 oxigen, it flies really well, but has enough of a challenge to get the best out of it to keep working at it for some time to come. Not that it misbehaves it's just that it is a step closer to race kites than my previous elliots ekkos. The power is very controllable and linear, it just keeps pulling:D It is a great buggy engine and I think with practise will be a fine race kite for a novice like myself. Its been flown in 5-15 mph winds and even when it felt to me like it was overpowered it still was managable, but entertaining.
  10. Hi I built my own buggy, it,s libreish with added bits and pieces. It,s got a 1.8m axle, higher side rails and a brace behind the seat. It,s made of mild steel as I intend to modiry bits and pieces as I go then will build in stainless when I'm happy. The wheels are barrow but about to get 16x6.5 front and 18x8.5 rear tyres, and the seat is a pl comp xr. I reckon the whole thing cost about £150. Though I have been welding for years and have a brother in law who is a machinist so can get bits turned for me. The headstock was the one point I thought about the most, I had a tube with a bigger dia at the top made up to accept a 12mm bearing and the bottom of the tube has a taper roller to take the load, the whole thing was then fitted through the down tube about an inch from the front end and welded all round top and bottom. To me this seemed the strongest way to do the job. If anyone is interested I'll try to get a couple of photos of it.
  11. site works fine on Netscape;) , did you use composer to build your site. Just getting into web design and am interested in what works with IE as opposed to netscapeand opera. I ordered some tyres of you today so the site works whichever browser you use.
