  1. Any suggestions on the easiest and safest way to solo launch a Super 10 without damaging the kite from hard compacted slightly burnt grassland? The wind fills the veins, but it doesn't seem to want to get underneath the foil! HELP!!
  2. I WAS INTO SPORT KITING IN A BIG WAY! THEN I SAW A GUY FLYING A POWER KITE ON MY FIELD ONE DAY AND THOUGHT, THAT LOOKS FUN. SO I BOUGHT A FLEXIFOIL SUPER 10 (WHY GET ANYTHING SMALLER?) I JUST FLEW IT TODAY, AND IT NEARLY RIPPED MY ARMS OUT IN A WIND IN WHICH MY STUNTERS WOULD STRUGGLE. MY FRIENDS THERE IS NO GOING BACK - FOR THE ADRENALIN RIDE OF A LIFETIME, ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE! NEXT ITS STACKING, THEN LANDBOARDING - I'M HOOKED FOR LIFE....TRY IT, YOU MIGHT LIKE IT! _______________ MY KITE BAG: NAMELESS 2M STUNTER JOEL SHOTZ 'JAWS' SIGNATURE FLEXIFOIL SUPER 10 LOTS OF LINE!
  3. Do you know what the buggers have done - stuck bleedin' goal posts all over my flying field. It was like a slalom. Kept it exciting though
  4. Thanks for all the advice guys! I went, I saw, it flew! Just wish I had upgraded to power kites from stunters before! Only an force 2 - 3 and it nearly pulled me out of my shoes! Can't wait for some big wind! Ta very much.....
  5. Are there any really great spots in Kent where the wind is happening? Also are there any websites other than the Met Office that can give you a comprehensive idea of the wind in your area?
  6. If you want to be flying in sub-five knots I would say you are looking for something a little 'larger' like a Super 6/8, maybe even a 10. (All dual line and miracles can be performed!) That said, using a lighter line with your stunter is said (by some) to do the trick! What I used to find though is when the wind completely goes, the lines go slacker than with a heavy line and bang you're on the ground. I use a 200lb line with my Sholtz signature in all weathers. You could of course be flying in the wrong place. It's amazing how wind can change, even on the same flying field. Try moving around out of the way of any obstacles (trees, buildings etc) and you will find something better. happy hunting, Mr. Chaser
  7. Thanks for the advice guys! i don't have a problem with 2 line anyway (stunt kiting), but I can see that this is a totally different experience!
  8. Just got the Super 10 after much anticipation! Haven't even tried it yet, but will soon. Would love to know whether the standard two line Super 10 can be converted to a four line, if I ever fancied havin' a go at that? Any suggestions, help etc. regarding the above would be gratefully appreciated. Also, tips on taking-off (I'm a bit nervous!)
