  1. yay it turned up today ^^
  2. Thanks, I'll give the people at the shop I ordered it at a couple more days then i'll give bilboquet a try. ChrisB, I wouldnt mind the wait so much its just that when i placed the order the shops webpage that i ordered from claimed that they had them in stock and the "in stock" tag on the page has not been changed to out of stock in the last 4 weeks.
  3. Well after haveing some forced time off flying (see. Smashed up legs), I thought I'd get my self a 4m buster2 to ease my self back in as its been nearly 3 years since i last flow. Anyhoo Its now been near-as dam it 4 weeks since i put the order into a certain PowerKite Shop (not mentioning any Names here) and I think I'm about to explode with pent up energy.......... I WANT TO FLY!!!!!!!!! Now thats out of my system, I understand there has been a few delays (at least thats what i'v been told) in getting anouth from PKD, so if anyone can tell me what these are like I'd love to hear (does second hand flying count?).
  4. if you dont fancy having the hassel of packing them away or dont fancy having carbon rods hurtling through the air you could all ways go for the nasa wing it has the same flying style as the cquad and you can probaly squese a touch more power out of it as t is lighterthey are also pretty much indestructable and pack down into very small sizes. Also cheap as chips and also easy as **** to make.
  5. Thanks peeps for the advice will be getting one on pay day shouldn't have the prob of it touching the ground just got a Lancer (all right not a lancer its a proton...same thing just a diffrent badge and cheaper). anyone want my old car Nissan Bluebird 1.6 runs well just needs an alternator and raditor shouldnt cost any more than £100 for the parts and it still has 9 moths mot and a months tax current offer i have is for £110 but he only wants it for parts I can't let him do that with the most reliable car I'v ever owned.
  6. well I have my buggy and I'v not been able to use it much as transporting it is a pain I was thinking of getting the 2 bike bike rack from halfords this any good for transporting buggys or not? cheers for any help,
  7. most lines that come with kites can cut but the are more likly to rip the skin off of the intruding limb or inflect some nasty burns, now if you had kevlar line they will cut and cut bad. but if you want to test the damage get you self a bit of meat with a bone in it like a leg of lamb tie some line to a shed roof beam/ scaffold pole ...ect wrap the midle of the line around the meat then (wearing thick gardning gloves and useing a handle) hang off the trailing end and see what it does to the poor little lambs leg.
  8. PKSF insurance covers you for according to the certificate "Power Kiting, Kite Buggying, Kite Boarding on land and Kite Surfing Including Events, Social & Competitive Activities in connection with the sport" so I'd have thought you'd be covered in all activites as long as its with a power kite wether its scudding, static or boarding/buggying. the question is what is a "power kite" as its been said on these forums that a sports kite is not a power kite, but I'v seen people buggying with the bigger ones so would that be covered?
  9. Argos are allready selling foils up to 3m i think.
  10. its nothing to worry about just the lines starting to resonate in the wind all mine do it, although the radsail and the bee are worst for it but then I do take them out in some very extream winds. "is that some one murdering cats?.......Nope the winds just picked up"
  11. Full face for me mainly cuz I dislike pain any way here are some pros and cons: FullFace Pros: 1: protects your face and chin 2: protects the side of your head 3: more protection to the base of your neck skateLid pros: 1: cheap 2: lighter 3: cooler (in hot weather) 4: Better vision FullFace Cons: 1: restricted vision 2: price 3: in some the face guard is not far anoth away to get a respretor under. 4: in a face first fall the helmet can in some instences twist your neck *snap* SkateLid Cons: 1: gravel rash 2: little protection to low side impacts 3: most seem to have very little proction to the base of the skull I'm sure thers many more than I'v listed here, but its down to what you feel safest in.
  12. fair statment but I'v found the public tend to park there arses down directly down wind then let the kids spread out so the last few occations this has happened to me (usuly when I'm knackered and needing to land due to wind increse) there is nowhere to safely land the kite. oh and dogs do know what they are doing when they **** on your kiting gear, as most dogs tend to think of people as pack members either of there own or rivel packs the act of ******* on your bag is a My balls are bigger than yours tetory marking thing.
  13. I'v got a furnace creek, not used it with the kite yet (to much of a wimp) but it it bloody fantastic for fast speed runs downhill.

    My Bee!!!

bit hard to explain with out showing you but I'll try. looking at the knots on my 4m: after threading it through your bridle point loop the short end once around the long end, then make another loop under the first and tuck the end of the short bit over and down through the first loop then pull tight. sorry it might not make much sence with out diagrams. the reason the end is looped over and through the first loop is so that when its pulled it tightens.
