  1. I do hope that you all understand that theres royalties to pay on all this distribution malarky!!! Tim
  2. Hi dudes and Dudettes!! Right then as your all not flying this weekend cos the wind is too "rough" huh!! I got the sale of the century for ya's. Exclusive offer to N/W crew see below tyres are for sale around £100 not inc P+P. They fit on standard Big foot rims "sweet" as I have put other kinds on mine. They have not been used brand spankers and only been stored in the shed. No takers by next friday (1st July) i'll put them on ebay and in the main "for sale" forum. Cheers Tim
  3. Thats really helpfull thanks for your time guys cheers Tim
  4. Hi there, I need a big kit bag to put my kiting stuff in, but i'm not sure which to go for! I have had a look at the Ozone and Mac bags but would like to know if any of you guys have one and what they are like both advantages and disadvantages to them. Also have you got a kit bag that is any better!! Plz advise. Thanks v. much Tim Links to the bags:http://www.powerkiteshop.com/accessories/ozonebackpack.htm http://www.atmospherekites.com/index.html?target=p_1.html&lang=en-gb
  5. I agree Blade 3's 8.5m are an awsone kite! http://www.members.lycos.co.uk/timhammond/
  6. Yer but no one would have told you to F off though Scud!! Double hard! LOL
  7. you guess right! lol 8.5m it is more expensive but it is well worth the extra dosh! Admitidly the blade is heavier then the Bego maybe by 1/3 or even 1/2 but with the wight behind it you can use it to your advantage by it falling towards the earth harder and producing more pull ready for the upturn to the zenith. I have had a go on a Bego and not sure that I like the system of more brake = more pull its a bit to un natural and harder to handle, its somthing you dont really need! Blades rule and I would suggest saving a bit more dosh it well worth it. look at this video try this on a Bego, I think not! http://www.members.lycos.co.uk/timhammond/ and click on jump 1 See ya!
  8. I'd get a bigger Blade there better than a Bego in my opinion
  9. ello Carn't be bothered to write it or explain again look at this instead: http://www.flexifoil.com/community/forums/showthread.php?t=36618&page=3&pp=15 c ya Tim
  10. I got 40m on my 8.5m
  11. Thats ded helpfull m8, Thanks a bunddle I'll probably have more qustions in the near future to ask so if you dont mind i'll pm you as and when!! All the best Tim
  12. Hey cheers B.red! Thats really helpfull. A few questions for you: Whats the seat like to sit in, does it hug the body well like a race car seat? how well does the suspension work, i.e is it hard or soft? roughly how heavy is it? How customisably is the whole setup? Are the sides of the seat quite high and hug your sides like a race car seat? What kite do you use the most with it? what size is the axel on the buggy? as I was thinking getting 2m axel, do you think it may spoil it? And out of 10 (being the best) how do you rate it? Oh and whats your thoughts on the centuary kite as I was also looking into getting one of them too maybe about 3m - 4m size Thanks everso Tim
  13. Excellent cheers Mark!! The V flex trio
  14. Now then people!! Wondering if anyone had any pics of the V-flex 2, Cos wanting to get one and want some 'real life' pics or vids of it to gather a sense of proportion. visited loads of places on the net but no home made piccies only promo's. Can you help! cheers Tim
  15. Hey like rasga says its not really true to power back up but depending on the wind strength the kite can power up in reverse if the kite is on its nose so just be carefull in high winds, give yourself plenty of time and space before you deploy the keepers just in case. mothy
  16. Hey Tone "partners in crime" me and you. Its a good rush though knowing that you are flying around 40 ft off the ground, pitty you have no video of it! I would have liked to see that. The breaking strain on the Blade lines is 550lbs (250) kg plenty strong enough for me. Take care buddy and remember the camcoreder nxt time;-)
  17. Dont fancy making one yourself then?
  18. well will After I landed, the kite came down due to me letting go and the Kite keepers came on. If you look close at the video theres a goal post in front of me about 10ft away, the kite pulled me to the goal post and i managed to stop myself on it with my feet. The kite landed in one of the gardens and stopped pulling me along as it was in a small tree. I had to sit there for about 5 mins with the kite pulling like hell and flapping in the tree while my mate had to come and rescue it. See rgds Tim
  19. I had to turn it slightly to the side of the window (L) to drop the kite power and make the power to weight ratio less so it dropped me, then try and bring the kite back up the zenith to the top to increase the power too reduce the fall. it kind of worked but still landed with a thump! if I hadn't done that I would have got an t.v aerial up my a$$ and thats no joke!
  20. Do you rekon I could jump over it? :-)
  21. Jeffsnox and all the other posts saying this is dangerous is absolutly right!! dont do it as its very dangerous. If you use a big kite like a blade III 8.5m its too slow to turn at the top of the Zenith and looses the air init (luffs) so down you come fast and hard, possibly backwards due to the strain on the rope. Get out of that situation in 2 seconds if you can, Trust us from the people who know, especially a jumper like me. Take care buddy and all the best Tim
  22. Its me alright!! aint Kites Brill!!
  23. Hey peeps!! Dont know what the wind speed was but it was more than 20mph, another chap called Maverick on this forum has a windometer and he said it was around the 50mph mark gusting up to 80mph. ummm! not sure though but it was bloody windy thats all I know. I got the 5.5 Oz Razor out first and that pulled me across the field too much too quick and with not really much lift it was too dangerous with goal posts about. The Blade was better as I could sail over the goal posts! Before I did the jump I knew I was going to get some good air as the kite was pulling me along the ground even with full brakes on. When I let the brakes off and the kite went up the side of the window it nearly pulled my arms off and pulled me a good 150m along the ground very fast. When it finally reached the top of the Zenith it was easier to handle, and then suddenly up I go! yeee haaa!! Watch this space for some more crazy videos and pics hopefully Cheers Tim and good speed to ya
  24. well i'm up for any jumping competion count me in. It would be a good event. SORTED!
