    I know the feeling. You could try surfing, I believe it's supposed to be good out there - but you need to watch out for the Great Whites & the jelly fish. I'm off to check that measurement...there must be some mistake...

    Mine is brand new - never flown yet - due to the poxy weather over the last few weeks...I wonder if they stretch a little after use? I hope so...I'm beginning to get an inferiority complex.

    Right, I can officially pronounce the width of the Blade III 4.9M is....... Wait for it........... 4.59M. I'll let you guys see how this equates in your formulae, I can't be arsed.

    Not sure about the actual width measurements of the 4.9's, but my old Blade II 3M had a 4M wingspan (flat). My Bl III 4.9M seems a little longer - but it is the width that is the big difference. Bl II's are long and skinny, Bl III's seem a little shorter but a fair bit wider. Not a very technical answer but that's the way it seems to me.

    Hi Neal, Just about got the lines on a couple of weekends ago, but no air time as yet - driving me mad. I went up to Devils Dyke on Sunday, there was a little wind, and a guy flying a very muddy Blade II 4.9. I just couldn't do that to my new baby...! How's the buggy coming along?

    Great...rain forecast for virtually the next fortnight down in the SE...marvellous. I don't suppose there is any way you can fly in this...is there...? You can only check/clean your gear so many times before getting totally frustrated. I've tried putting the extractor fan on maximum and flying in the kitchen, but the wife doesn't seem too appreciative of the 4.9 in there... Bored, bored, bored...

    I've just gone from a Blade 2 3M to a Blade 3 4.9M -I think you need to stretch yourself a little & go for the 4.9. Obviously start in low winds and build up skill levels & confidence...the difference between a 3M and the 4.9 should not be underestimated. As already mentioned if you go for a 4M you will eventually wish you'd gone for the 4.9M.
