  1. cheers sparhawk, I am not around till Sep time as off to south france for the rest of summer, would be good to have a fly with others though as I am normally by myself (apart from the gf helping me launch, but she gets bored watching me!)
  2. yeah, hinckley is just 10 mins away, I think there is a kite shop there aswell, never been to it though, do you know where abouts in Hinkley or anyone that flys there?, next time I am up I will pop in the shop and ask them. Cheers Roly
  3. horse where are you in warks? when I am not at uni I am either near cov at my folkes or kent at my birds, prefer Kent as I struggle to find anywhere in warks to fly, u know any places?? Cheers Roly

    bullet lines

yeah, I didn't take into account the forces, maybe it was okay then, but I think the line may not have been thread through the sleeve knot (bridle end) all the way and worked it's way out, Also, the knot on the end of the bridle lines (where you connect the main flying lines to the bridle) is also working loose as the knot was tied in the covering material without the line sufficiently long enough, I had to tie new knots on the 1.5 and 2.5 so the sleeves on the lines didn't slip off the bridle. The bullets fly brilliantly, I just can't help thinking the standard is not as high as the blades?? Hope that makes sense, It's so hard trying to explain what you mean without pics!!
  5. The other week my lines snapped, well sort of broke really whilst flying my 1.5! I was down the beach just having a gentle fly, winds were not that strong then the line suddenly went. On examination i thought (and still do) that the line had actually slipped out the sleeve (if you don't have a bullet the sleeves are different to blades), it was almost as if the stitching on the sleeve gave in and the line slipped out. Flexifoil said in there opinion it had broke (snapped line)and therefore charged me, as they did such a good job on my blade i couldn't be arsed to argue over £10 to repair the lines. Thinking about it though now, I am 80kg, the lines (main, which snapped) can hold more than that, on the day I wasn't getting any skudding just some strong flying manoveres and still think it was a faulty line, or just that the new sleeves for the bullet aren't as good??? has any one else had this problem, at the moment i am flying the 2.5 with my Blade lines and am untrusting of the bullet lines. After a faultless record with flexi gear and repair service so far and many happy flying hours, i was rather dissapointed to experience this, if i had been getting air and skudding (which I have on my 2.5 (same strenth lines)) I would have half expected it.
  6. bar or handles?? I was thinking of getting a bar as I don't have one, but what is best to use?? or is it a preference kind of thing
  7. cheers guys. my girlfriend will be thankfull of only having to buy me the 2.5!! I was thinking about that but thought you would need alot of pull for the buggy! 2.5 it is then!
  8. hi all. My girl friend is buying me a new bullet (3.5) for my birthday!!!! and I am going to buy a buggy (Flexifoil stn). I am really competent with my super 10 but slightly less with my blade II and assume the same with the new bullet. Do you recommend starting buggying with my super 10 or the bullet? I have seen flexifoil videos of guys doing it with the super 10's but they are harder to hold in the wind window without constantly flying side to side, and i thought I might be better with the bullet?? any help would be appreciated P.s. is the flexifoil buggy a good starter I weigh about 80kg and the shop said cheaper one's might not be as robust? Cheers
