  1. Anyone in here want a Storm II 12m (kite and bag only) before I put it up for sale ? Average condition for age, awesome kite. You can pick a bar up cheap these days. I'll be asking for £120, £100 for peeps in here. Cheers, Cris
  2. alright all, been a while. defcom, im going down with simon (lightweight24) for a southerly wind kitesurf session at troon south beach this saturday morning, come along and meet us and try it out for yourself.
  3. Ditto. My shoulder is still painful too but Im back on the bike now and riding into work. Perhaps next weekend.. Hope you get out soon too.
  4. Reet.. thanks for the get well wishes , Im on the mend but I dont think my shoulder will be ready to kitesurf for another two weeks. See you then! Cris.

  6. i feel like the bloke on the right about this weekend, not the left. above pic removed so jim doesnt get nightmares sorry Jim, I dont want you having nightmares before you show us your buggy skills tommorrow..
  7. see what you mean Mubster, the signature pixies are out and about again, must be the spring weather. glad you had a sucessfull reccy King Module, Dunbar is lovely, good fast road into to Edinburgh too. Maybe we'll all meet you september! Do you kitesurf, landboard or buggy ?
  8. Riiiiiiight, now I understand.
  9. Hello, May as well throw my tuppence worth in. Ive flown Gs and now I landboard and kitesurf with StormsIIs. My main advice would be take your 12m out on light wind days, with someone to help you (instructor / someone who knows LEIs). The StormII kite behaves completely differently to a G (foil) and is nowhere near as forgiving. Trust me. The wing tips have many settings and I'd advise the following setup until you know what your doing. Attach the the rear turning lines (red left, blue right) onto the slow turn setting and the power lines on the depower setting. If your over powered at the zenith, with the bar depowered your best landing it and getting a smaller kite out. If not, get a feel for it, fly it safely and make sure you practise pulling your first QR with a helper standing by if anything should go wrong. Dont be the generic twat on the beach the Jason Furness (Flexifoils Pro Team Manager ) talks about in this 45 min podcast. Def worth a listen. http://www.dualbotic.com/downloads/KitesurfingPodcast4.mp3 Hope this helps, if you have any other queries re: your storm, pm and I'll help if I can. Cheers, Chisp.
  10. Top sunday morning session at Troon with Jim and Alexb. learnt to turn (figure of 8) on the landboard, well chuffed!
  11. Big thanks to the mubz for taking deek and I surfing. I loved getting battered every 20 seconds by big scary waves and failing to stand on board once! Top sess. Less said about pulling safetys the better tho. http://www.tantallonbandb.co.uk/images/misc/surfing_belhaven_bay/deek.jpg http://www.tantallonbandb.co.uk/images/misc/surfing_belhaven_bay/dave.jpg http://www.tantallonbandb.co.uk/images/misc/surfing_belhaven_bay/martie.jpg
  12. Im up for the Solstice do - sounds an excellent way to spend the day and night. Anyone else in here ?
  13. hi king module, I live and work Glasgow but I wouldnt class myself a weeji. Im from Edinburgh and my suggestions for you would be East Lothain too. Bit more pricey than West Lothian but much nicer and theres some awesome beaches nearby as the hairy one (Boater) has already said. Have a look these places if you come up for a reccy. Haddinton, Tranent, Pathhead, Gorebridge, Longniddry and Dalkieth. Avoid Livingston (Milton Keynes of the North). Hope this helps. For all the Loonies, I was down at Southerness yesterday. 22mph, straight on shore with a massive low tide. The sun was out and the sand was hard, all 5 miles of it. I rigged up the 8m on it's slow and depowered settings and proceeded to carve my name all over that sandbar. Wicked sess. Fitting a new bladder to the 16m's tip today then off to Mabie for some biking. Hope your all enjoying work. Later.
