Hi to all
Point taken on Pendine issue, in future i think i will launch myself off nearest mountain top to check speed wobbles and to get used to board :-) Nah seriously thanks for advice hope to meet up with some of you in future at Pendine when wind is howling. By the way I work in a school and we have huge playing fields that I tend to use for flying / boarding. Just looking through my classroom window at the moment and wind is picking up nicely so may get a bit of flying this evening. As for fitting new uprated rubbers, i did have a play about with settings on the trucks a few weeks ago because i found them too loose, and after talking to a guy at a skate shop he suggested that it is a good idea to learn to ride a board with loose trucks any views on loose trucks.
regards Alun.
point taken newboy, By the way does the speed limit on Pendine beach apply to all vehicles including buggies, landboards, motorbikes, quads, jetskis, horses, cars and if so who enforces it.
Excuse my naivety but i've only started landboarding for about 3 months. one of the other reasons for being towed up the beach was to get a feeling for riding the board in both directions. as i seem to be able to control the board one way better than the other. I realise that if i have done something wrong you experienced boarders should put me right, but to be called a stupid F***ing T**t is totally out of order and i do not think that is any way to address someone who shares similar interests. In future i will be posting on beginners forum. but will still be looking at this forum if you do not mind. Also what is the difference in being pulled up the beach by a car for learning control of landboard and being towed up the beach by a buggy as i saw a few other people doing ? I know we are all aware of beaches being closed for land based wind sports so i will not be attempting this maneuvre again so sorry to cause you so much upset.
Hmmm,
Anyone know why i should get speed wobbles on my flexdeck ? got pulled down the beach yeserday by wifey in car At Pendine. with tow rope and had major speed wobble at about 18mph and bailed out OUCH hurt my leg. would a longer board help ? By the way there was no wind so only way i could get some fun :-)
thanks Alun.
Hi everyone hope you all had a good flying weekend. Anyone on Here tried out the powermax buggy kit. or know of anyone that has built one? Available at this website.
