  1. don't listen to all these cameleon buggiers there only jelous that they made the biggest mistake for not buying a libre:p Don't write off a full race with intermediate tyres. I've found you only realy need big foots for realy soft sand and you don't go as quick with bigfoots on the hard stuff (but what do I know. I've only been doing it 5 mins)
  2. I've got flexi bearings for £10 a set (good ones not crap) I think postage is about £3 for them as well Pm me if you want some Thanks Ben
  3. you have a serious petrol problem....... your car uses diesel!!!! How much have you had to drink? maybe I'll have to take a stall with me to da ho. maybe have some special under the counter ones for you (odd sized holes and balls). I'll make sure I have some plain paper bags!!!! Lardy's lovely longlasting lubricated.........errrrrrrr bearings (couldn't think of a name for bearings starting with L)
  4. Any one else for any????? got loads more on the way in and silly sizes (cheers carlos, still can't believe you got presision bearings???). Going to be taking a stack down to the ho, just look for the white VW transporter with a big Ozone sticker on the back and red flowers round the middle (or pm me and I'll send my mobile number) cheers
  5. I have a load of bearings for sale for both 12mm and 20mm axles. £15 a set for libre (2x 12mm, 4x 20mm) £10 a set for flexi etc. (6x 12mm) These are good quality NSK ones not the realy cheap chinese ones availible. Top Speeds

I got launched on coney beach in porthcawl in my old flexi buggy in a 30mph ish wind with a 2.1 devil. managed to hold it heading to the sea and only slowed by plowing into a very empty sea. got back to the van and checked the max speed 42mph. "thought that was f***in scarey" now got a full race and regulary get that sort of speed without getting scared, althought do sometimes miss the acceleration of the flexi.
  9. Get a harness!!!! You might have opened up a can of worms asking how to build up your grip/ forearm strength???? (or is that just my filthy mind)
  10. Get a high lift rack from halfords. It is designed to hold bikes over the rear window of hatchbacks so as not to obscure the numberplate/lights. the two arms to hold bikes are just the right size to hold a flexi front wheel up or even a libre full race either way up. I think it was about £50 works a treat.
  11. you have a ptfe bush in the stearing head of the flexi buggy and they squeak when they get dirt between them. take them out and give them a damn good clean and clean (almost polish) the top part of the forks. I found the best thing to lubricate it was fairy liquid (can get a bit bubbly when wet). you only need a tiny bit just to coat the surfaces between the fork and inside of the bush. smells nice as well

    Crude

definantly use olive oil. I was down in SW france over whit and loads of tarry balls where bing washed up (still) from the prestige tanker. All the locals where telling use to use olive oil (something to do with the fractions) and DO NOT use solvents. I think solvents will push the toxins into the skin. Saying that olive oil is so cheap in SW france they proberbly use it for everthing. Did work though and lovely soft skin after. Have you informed the EA about the oil as there is a history of tankers flushing there tanks off the gower and they need to be prosicuted try these http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/ http://www.sas.org.uk
  13. Had to be one of the best days buggying I've ever had. low tide at swansea beach 18mph ish southerly wind (dead on shore) no one else there after 5:30 cruising at 30-35 mph for 2 miles on one tack in both directions. I can only hope tomorrow is as good. right pendine question. What direction wind is onshore there?? if it's any good tomorrow I'm there otherwise staying in swansea. I realy want to try out pendine as I only hear good things about it (is it buggy eutopia????). If it is good and anyone in swansea wants a lift over pm me tonight with number and I'll call u first thing (plenty of room in the van.

    Footstraps?

try some bungy cord first and some grip tape (ur local skate shop may have some offcuts, u don't need much). I wouldn't recommend full on foot straps straight away (speaking from experience, I went one way the buggy the other my feet somewhere in the middle!!!!!!!).
  15. I would consider a kite other than a blade!!!!! Too much lift for buggying. Try a bullet (3.5 4.5) or little devil (3,4.5) still fantastic pull but much less lift and allround better buggy kites
  16. have a look at this http://www.blokart.co.uk/index.html I've seen a few of them around, they are about the same size as a buggy. Maybe nick a few ideas off them????
  17. Is there anywhere in north (east) wales that you can fly for free??? Going up to see the parents this wknd in wrexham and realy want to use the new buggy?
  18. sorry NO more comming in
  19. If you are going to get a speed seat get it quick. I was in On Board in swansea on monday and the Da Kine rep was there saying that there are on more comming into the country until late august (must be popular)!!!!! What size are you after as I've got a large but put on a bit since last summer. Make an offer and I'll proberbly take it as I need an XL. It's still like new about 9 months old.
  20. is that an underground tupperware party as all of the reps have been sacked (keeping the schene alive!!!!!). It's a sad day when u can't enjoy having friends around to fondle plastic objects;) ;)
  21. my girlfreind swears blind that my "yellow" 2.1 little devil has a purple patch on it?????? so I bought a 4.5m yellow one and a 3m purple one (I'll just tell her it's the light or something). should be fine, I hope??
  22. Any hints on better ways of getting rid of exessive speed before a tack. decided to bail straight into the sea last weekend after hitting 43mph and ran out of room before turning (aquaplaned for a good few yards before sinking though and didn't drop my kite into the sea!!!). Tried all the usual, turning upwind flying slightly behind to pull back but was still travelling way to quick to safely turn. all comments greatly appreciated????? ;) Ta Ben Ps. just moved back to south wales (porthcawl, above happend at coney) any fly in's happening soon???
  23. I'm selling my 3.8 ekko for £160 if your interested. very nice buggy engine and in good nick as well??
  24. I tried a 2.5 bullet the other weekend at watergate and it was much twitchier than my 2.1 devil. the wind was offshore and very gusty but the devil just didn't seem to "grab" as much. The bullet was very quick but still suffered the legacy of blades in too much lift when gusts hit it. I'm a good 17stone and got lifted up in my buggy several times on the bullet but the devil just pulled harder. They do look nice though and in better conditions I'm sure they hold their own with the best of them. Proberbly going to stick with buying devils though (when I can afford them) as the number of perfect days get less and less. Ben ps I'd get rid of the kite killers straight away. pain in the arse! kept getting tangled in the handles
  25. I'd definantly agree with swansea bay. good hard packed sand!!! I'm moving to swansea this weekend (change of job, need to leave london it sucks) would realy like to meet up with some local buggiers. I'll post again when I've worked out where I'm gunna live. any flats for rent in the marina?? Ben
