  1. when kireon was first designing the typhoon it told me it was for clipping your helmet to.
  2. Sweet, looks like this will be an excellent trip! better get on and fix me car before i go!! so i need fog lights? ha ha. Was just out flying, really nasty wind today. Can't wait, i really need a good run at the beach, local park is just not the same. So how can i persuade the other half that les hemmes would be better than paris?
  3. Excellent!! and no stupid english style beach restrictions! sounds great. Where can i get a tidal graph for the beach?
  4. sounds cool will look it up! Just thought that so much of our beaches and fields have banned (restricted) buggy's, we might as well go play in france! The french are a lot more understanding about people having (horror of horrors) a bit of fun. Whats the best time of year for buggying there? or is anytime good?
  5. Hi there i am thinking of planning a trip over to france this summer. I'm looking for a good place to go with lots of sand and wind of cause!! i've heard that berck Sur Mer has a good beach for buggying. Any one got any experience in buggying in france? what beach is best and what kind of restrictions do they have un buggying? is my insurance valid in france?
  6. Sniperwolf how did you find the new free style? we had one up the hill the other day with Kioren getting some good air, think he's going to tweek the back axle and the foot pegs a little yet. Better get a move on we're supposed to be taking two to the states next week!! Oh yes the buggies are designed with much love and care, and built with enough workmanship to make PL and flexy ashamed.

    Advance Quattro

cheers for the help, Kieron (parastorm) brought one of the actual 10m rhea's from the pole attempt down the park the other day and there lovely to fly, very fast around the window for a 10m but required quite a breeze to really get going. I liked the way it stayed inflated (water kite), it made it very stable in gusty wind. How come land based kites don't have this feature? I reckon my centurys would benefit from some one way flaps to keep the air in as it only has small air inlets.
  8. Normally, washing my kite with some warm soapy water cleans it up a treat, but this is not the case with weston SUPER mud. It appears to be a mud somewhere between clay and concrete. Trying to wipe it off just smears it around so I need something more effective. Surely someone sells spray on rinse off cleaner, or will clean it for me for a small fee.
  9. I'm looking for a very small kite but want good quality. I came across these, has anyone tried one and what is it like? Ta. http://www.paraventure.co.uk/ADVANCE%20QUATTRO.htm
  10. at least if it pulls your trouser down you don't pick up sand like a bucket. I got dragged at weston yesterday, with a belt on, 'cause they didnt fall down i ended up with trouser full of sand. i forgot me spares as well, bugger!!
  11. Very cool if you've got a van to carry it in, looks huge!
  12. When in my buggy I found the buckles that hold the spreader bar In place (dakine speed seat) can come undone when moving around in the seat. This not good when you're cruising along fully powered up and then 'pop' the harness lets go and the kite yanks you're arms off. Bit of gaffer tape sorts it but you shouldn't have to fix a brand new harness with gaffa tape. Q harness was good in the buggy , no good foor jumping. Thats my view anyway.

    goin on hols

most airlines will sell you a bicycle box that a buggy will fit in.$20 for american airlines. most buggy bags are over sized, they measure the whole bag not just what your buggy takes up. Also the box will stop the buggy getting too battered by the airport monkeys. best bet to ring the airline to make sure. happy hols.
  14. theres a spot in horsepath some where.
  15. hello there, I'm from the U.K but will be traveling to the USA in april with a friend to travel the states for 3-6 months (with buggies and kites). I imagine theres a load of great places to buggy ( Dry lakes?) but could do with some guidance. We'll be travelling down route 80 probably, so would love to here about any great places to go along the way. About the dry lakes, how would i get permission to buggy on a lake? can you only use the lakes at organised events? What insurance if any will i need to buggy in the states? will my BBC insurance do? I've heard theres a big buggy event on one of the dry lakes, when is it and where, We'll see if we can get there. Do any of you fancy a visit only for a couple of weeks or so ( joking)in exchange we'll bring cheap kites for you. well a lot cheaper than usa prices anyway.
