I have had a look for it, I think it was probably on the team Xzone site cos Burgy went out to the states last year to run some speed trials with a bunch of other kiters, looked like fun, huge dry, flat salt pans
No but I think they had to change their tyres they are rated at 20 mph and the salt beds there are very unforgiving, they have pics of the shredded tyers on the site.
Agger posted something about EN BS CE marks a while back, I can't remember exactly but cycle lids are only rated to about 12 mph. Check what the number stands for, there are hundreds of different numbers for different activities.
Fantastic I'm sure there will be a great turn out if you are bringing the beer
From Baldock on the A505 to Royston AT first roundabout on the by pass take old road to Royston. Follow road to outskirts of the town Royston Heath sports Club is on the Right hand side of the road. We fly on a small mown bit they use as the golf practice ground.
Come and see Royston. Be sure of a walm welcome, or more locally if you can get into Knebworth Park I'll find a link to a sit that mentioned it if I can find it. Nope can't but it said something about arriving after they stop charging
Look us up on the meets forum Royston Heath
The first jump was pants. The first time I got lifted however (kite 12 o'clock etc) not expecting it, 12ft (witnessed) was something else. 4m blades are fast kites and dump you quickly. Result Broken foot
When it's so cold you can't feel your nose, and youv'e been hanging on to the handles so hard that the blood has drained form your fingers so you can't hold the handles anyway that's when you will decide to stop.
When the blood starts to pump back into your fingers, thats when you wished you had never started :D
ITS ADDICTIVE
Saw a guy with a tandem the other w/e.
Remove the front wheel, not the head stock, and U bolt the foot pegs of the rear buggy to the rear axle of the front buggy.
Seemed good, never saw it going but with the head stock still attatched, it will give the articulation required too..
See how you go but for the price of 2 U bolts......
