  1. I once watched a guy with a 4.9m blade teather himself to his estate car... He was very careful setting up his kit...he had ski boots on and a harness and padding everywhere... His teathering rope was attached to the back of his harness and to the tow eye of the car... The teathering rope was about eight foot long...not very long that he couldn't do any damage or so he thought... The first big wind lifted him off the ground and dragged him around to the rear side of the car where he broke his right leg in two places with the force of being slapped into the car...the car also sufferered damage of a very dented rear panel and smashed side window... It did not end there...the guy was picked up again like a rag doll and dumped on the bonnet of the car which he reckons did the second break in his leg... But the pain did not end there... We bundled his kit into his car and I took him to A&E in mine and whilst we were away from the area some w*nker broke into his car and stole all his kit... Our sport is extreme enough without teathering ourselves to anything or anyone...but if you have to do it make sure you have a non kiting individual about that can take you to hospital...that way us kiters and stay and enjoy... Carlos K632 UK1 - 6 weeks out for torn ligaments...how long does a broken leg take???
  2. Yo dude... You say about a harness...I would never be without mine... I am a fat git with an Extra Small Libre buggy and with my B&J nappy harness I am a tight fit into my seat, but then it's what I want... I use a roller or hook and find if I am in danger of being dragged from the buggy I just un-hook the strop and use my arms to get me out of trouble... Although because I am such a tight fit my buggy sometimes comes with me if I get some air... If you are into cruising like me then a harness is a god send...we have proved it, 2 of us on harness and 2 not...the 2 of us on harness cruised for about another hour more than the 2 without... As somebody else said, try some harnesses on and don't be scared to re enact in the shop some moves and stretches you would normally do out flying... I am about to pick up a DaKine harness given to me as part of a sponsorship from ON BOARD kites in Swansea... My B&J has given me a lot of support for the past 2 years but now is a time for a change... Enjoy... Koldo... Kit bag.....
