  1. Quick question on the art of turning. Is there any way of turning (180) away from the kite, rather than in to it, without twisting all your lines up?
  2. If it slopes then it is not the place that i am thinking of. Looking at Multi map it has Port Solent being on the atlantic side but the place that i was at i think was on the edge of the channel into the port.

    Helmets

maybe i'm just a crap buggyer and maybe i'm just getting old but i seem to get thumped on the back of my head by the buggy each time i go out. I really would be wearing a helmet when you buggy if i was you.

    Helmets

I picked up a second hand flexi helmet as part of the package when i bought my buggy (still running fine BTW man_of_steeles) and that has done me fine. Its open face so no protection for chin whacks but has saved me a number of times from being clobberd over the back of the head by the buggy as i demonstrate my emense buggying skills Which ever one you go for i would recommend getting one with a peak at the front - helps keep the sun out of your eyes.
  5. Is there actually anywhere flat at Devils Dyke? I have flow kites there before and it is good in that there is always a wind, but all the fields that i can see there are on very steep hills.
  6. I would not know as to the offical position. All i know is what i see and that is that people still buggy there
  7. there is a really nice place in gosport on the coast/ solent I went there with afriend on saturday and it was really great 3 other people with kites and a couple of others buggying there unfortunately with him driving and me not knowing the area i have no idea exactly whrere it is. I will try and get you a more detailed answer.
  8. I was at the place on the London Road on Sunday. It is a fairly large area but surrounded by hills so that the wind is really dirty and gusty. There are also 8 sets of goal posts to deal with and 3 cricket wickets marked off with poles and rope to avoid so not entierly an ideal location. As for Gosport i'm afraid i don't know the area really well so could not point it out myself but will get my friend who lives near there to give me some multimap coordinates which i shall send you. It might be the same area that you are tinking of. It is right on the coast so really clean air, the ground was a bit water logged but only on one of the fields and the guys buggying on it seemed to love it even more as it made doing the spins alot easyer!!
  9. Now that they have banned Kites down at the Shorham Aldur Rec ground ( to be fair it is five hundred yards from an airfield) any one got some recomendations for buggying sites around Brighton. I Know the likes of Camber Sands etc and there is a great site in Gosport that i was at on Saturday but just trying to find somewhere a little closer to home with less travel involved.
