  4. I have a new baby boy and it will be years before he can fly a Blade so here's your chance to own a part of kite history! The original 2000/2001 first release of the Flexifoil Blade here in it's biggest 7.2m size. Only one owner as I bought it years ago just before the Mk2's came out. Great in low ish winds with brutal power and silly amounts of lift. Definitely a kite you have to learn and master before you can survive and get the best out of it. The kite has three tiny kite-repair-tape repairs. Comes with original Flexfoil handles, strop, 30m lines, kite killers, original manual & tag, and an original Flexifoil cross-over kit (to increase the speed at which it turns and therefore its power and lift), all contained within the original bag (which has been repaired). £100 http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH5.jpg http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH6.jpg http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH7.jpg http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH8.jpg http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH9.jpg http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH10.jpg http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH11.jpg http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH13.jpg http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH14.jpg http://www.sheffieldkitefliers.co.uk/images/PaulH17.jpg

  7. Roughly H250cm, W270cm, D270cm.
  8. Due to reducing the number of public events we're doing in 2012 we have some of our event kit up for sale: Green Polyester Garden Gazebo with side panels - £30 Picture Hand Made Wooden Balance Board, roller, and base board - £20 Picture Pickup from Sheffield area or via one of our regular kite trips.
  9. Thanks for letting us know. The SKF had talked about possibly heading down for the weekend late November but we can go elsewhere. Lode is worth preserving for next year along with keeping Doug nice and happy.
  10. Like Dunc says we tend to travel all over the place but are always looking for good sites closer to home. If this site is any good we could bring plenty of people - all insured. We also regularly talk to Sheffield council and have done for years so if you want any help or advice then please get in touch. Good luck.
  11. We are also thinking of heading down mid October but he's only allowed to use the land a certain number of days a year for "powered vehicles" which apparently due to some silly law we fall under along with motor bikes and cars! He also said that he'd not open if the ground was sodden so the grass didn't get damaged. Best thing to do is email Doug at info@lodestarfestival.com to check a before you head down. He usually replies within a day or quicker if he's not out in the fields.
  12. Was an awesome day. Not been that fast in a buggy for a long time! Nice to meet Dunc and some of the regulars. Doug appeared later on - such a nice guy. He's happy for feedback on how he can improve things (as if he needs to ) and talked about a possible Wallop like festival if the council are happy but there are lots of things to be worked out so don't get excited yet. Lolage - it's 2½ hours from Sheffield - well worth it!
  13. WOW - awesome article - still hard to believe that they reduced 3 hours of filiming down to a few minutes. So glad we got good winds and a good turn out on a weekday with everyone having arranged time off work. They did say that we might be able to have all the footage so there's scope for someone to produce a longer possibly more embarrasing one! Oh and the 52mph came from me, sorry to Bulletmagnet as I didn't know, but like Kev says it does say that in the Guiness Book of Records! Best part is my mate Andrew is currently in St Lucia and he saw us on BBC World News !!! If you want to see it again: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7651748.stm
