  1. Hi Everyone, Mr botangles here or as you may or may not remember Paul and Janet . I was the the newbie at Sandy Point Speed Week with the unusual PL with suspension and the NasaStar 5.5 that the very patient Mr John Holgate and quite a few other new friends attempted to enlighten about the finer points of kite buggying. It's been a while since I enjoyed the weekend at Sandy Point Speed Week, and I thought I'd better let you know that although my progress as a buggyer is slow , I did take the advice of the seasoned experience surrounding me and have begun my journey again with a smaller Nasa Star 2 , 2.5 sq m . Got this little kite for Christmas from Janet and it's a delight to fly. Although my recent visit to Truganina was still a bit questionable I live in hope of joining you all again even if it is for a very rustic "botangles" version of our fabulous outdoor fun activity. By the way, mine was a not so lazy Tuesday and boy for a little kite , you guys were right ...plenty of grunt. Regards and thanks to all , Paul ( Mr botangles )
  2. Hi guys , speaking of dicks and newbies , Paul Smith here ( mr botangles ) I'm a newbie just wanting to introduce myself to the forum . Not sure if I'm in the right place on the forum , but here goes . I've just returned from a fabulous weekend at the Sandy Point Speed Week with the nicest bunch of people I could have wished to meet up with . Fun stuff seemed to be the name of the game and although the weather wasn't great to start with I felt that spirits were high with anticipation and fun . We saw some great buggying and boarding and indeed blokarting ( Mary I believe ). I did manage to live up to my name bo(tangles) and even with the advice of my excellent mentors , John Holgate and Nigel , both very patient and fabulous buggyers , I realised that this wasn't going to come together in five minutes . With me going in one direction and the kite going in the other , usually both wrong, co-ordination in general being out of the window and many Oh S..t what do I do now moments I don't think I've had so much fun failing at anything . Nevertheless , terrific weekend, great BBQ , Big thanks to everyone and hope to see you all again soon . Here I go persevering . Regards Paul (mr botangles )
