I recently bought a 2.5m Beamer for my first kite and would recommend this as a first time beginners kite. I did have a days tuition as well but I was able to show a friend how to fly the kite in about an hour - so you prob just need a little advise to start off with - it can be dangerous so first time do not go out in strong winds - get the hang of it first in more gentle winds or you may end up being uncerimoniously dragged across the park.
