  1. My first kite also.... They are great. Get ready for a bigger quiver though as this sport is addictive.
  2. have you flown your beamer since this and done better?
  3. Yay!!!! I have been waiting for someone to review one since they (pansh) upgraded them. I ordered a 5m Blaze and a 2m legend a week ago wednesday and have not heard they have shipped yet due tho the chinese holliday. So glad to hear it flew great right out of the bag. You will have to give us an update after you have flown in more wind.
  4. Nice review. A joy to read and good jokes too
  5. very nice review. makes me want one!
  6. I agree entirely
  7. You should post some pics in the gallery
  8. I have the WD 2 and it is just as you describe for the 3. It does get real fast and pull and fun in the higher wind days just care for the lines will break if you try to scud with it
  9. Well you have done it now as yesterday I went to the local surf/skate shop after reading this and acquired a spanking new Sector 9 Hydra w/ gullwing trucks. JKM you just have to give in and get a longboard. this needs to move to the Forum despite it not being a kite. Thanks adamski for the suggestion
  10. Bar Vs. Handles is a big difference. Also the TSR is used to train for those starting kitesurf and is a good trainer. Fly it on handles and see the difference. Also ask Jerry as he is the HQ man in the know.
  11. Yes Please use the killers You WILL need them so don't wait till you hurt yourself or others. and Enjoy your new hobby.
  12. Cool. You will be wanting more kites very soon!! Should have some good beaches for scudding in Florida as I do in NC.
  13. Great review JKM. Really makes me want some as I am teaching the wife to fly but she doesn't like the leader between her fingers. These would be great.
  14. 2.55m is the size of the winddance 3
  15. I have the WD 2 and after adjusting the bridle (which isn't the easiest thing to do) and going out in 20+ mph winds it is a speed demon. Pulls hard and does very tight spins and turns. Dragged the wife down the beach in 25+ MPH and has been slammed into the sand really hard many times and no damage yet. I would have prefered to have a 4 line but this thing can be lots of fun. Keep trying.
  16. Makes me want to ge one for the wife to learn on. Do you think it would do ok on a 4 line bar? nice review!
  17. Where are you based?
  18. Warning You have been bitten by the bug... there will be more to come.
  19. so so you "boarders" reccommend that peole get an INDO board to practice balance before or during training/learning???
  20. Terrible shame. I would go back to the shop and ask for a replacement or ask them to test fly it. I only have the beamer II 3.6 and it is awesome in winds 14 -25. scuds for miles of beach and just sits at the edge of the window while I walk it back up the beach. Smooth as anything. Have not flown the 2.5 but sounds like you just got a dud. Ask for replacement and try again
  21. Nice review of a great kite . not to nit pick but .... The stake is spelled stake not steak as in Ribeye steak. thanks Sorry but thought you should know. HQ = High Quality!!
  22. Simply outstanding review! makes me want some U-turn Kites
  23. What a riot!! LOL
  24. Yes very fun as it is so fast and the wind range is 4mph to 30 mph!! I wonder how it's speed is to a symphony??
