  1. i have flown a 13m bomba and absolutely LOVED IT! was much faster than i thought it would be. awesome kite.
  2. mattdez, sw3d3 is referring to the 9m phantom as a high wind water kite. you however, seem to be asking for land based use, from the other kites you mentioned. obviously, on the water you need tons more power. the phantoms are fast, smooth and stable, and will complement your quivre well, but be aware that the P9 has a projected area of about 5.7m. in other words, don't be fooled by the 9m, it will produce power similar to a 5m foil.
  3. hi richard, loved the review. you said you wanted to try out a frenzy. i'm just curious if you have had the chance to compare the 2 kites yet. i'd love to hear about it if you have. i'm curious about the comparisons between build quality, performance, lift, depower, etc. (any takers?) i am in the US, we are limited in the brands of kite we can buy. i didn't know, until today there were any other depowerable open foil kites besides the frenzy. i agree, paying a little more for a depowerable kite is totally worth it: after having flown a frenzy, i'm sure i'll never buy another fixed bridle kite, unless there are performance advantages i'm not aware of. good winds, mykl
  4. like offshore, i too just got my 04 frenzy which came with no manual, and any online pdf manual, has minimal info and piss poor photographs. it is a dream to have finally flown this kite, and have not had any bad experiences with it yet, in fact i find this kite a blast to fly in gusts because it's so easy to correct them with the depower, i could never have imagined that some ppl say this is a bad kite to fly in gusty conditions... go figure. but it's interesting to have learned about how to use the trim, as i had no idea. can't wait to go play with it again. this weekend there is a snowkiting event which will feature ozone and peter lynn kites to demo, and there will be reps and sponsored riders on hand. i hope to come back with everything i want to know & then some: maybe i could submit a chapter of Frenzy flight school:) good stuff bushflyer
