  1. I've give that a go, I have a spare ozone bar to Frankenstein (flag out should be an easy to mod) , best I've come up with so far is take measurements off the foil depower spares and compare them to current lei specs... Will post how I get on.. prolly end up buying a foil bar after splashing the cash on mods cheers for the help Plummet
  2. Looking to get a shine new frenzy but not really wanting to fork out for a new bar to go with it. I have quiet a few depower bars for lei's - are these interchangeable between kite types, obviously a slight tweek to the bar safety system?..
  3. Aye cool glad you enjoyed it! Yes wind is quiet low there but think that keeps the beach empty. Yes buggy would be good, nice long stretch!
  4. Np! It's not as wide as Polzeath but much much longer
  5. Nope pretty dead, a few walkers and 3 other kitesurfers there today. 12knots tomorrow.... Make sure you check tide times, has a very high tide. Parking is 3.50 all day but you can walk down instead. There is also a nice cafe to wind down afterwards
  6. I spend quiet a bit of time at sandymouth bay, nice flat stretch... Winds are usually light though
  7. I'm a petite x large at 15stone
  8. Same weight as you. I have found the 14m catalyst pretty dam good, it's very predictable and has a great wind range by far most used kite...
  9. I kite round devon, will keep eye out, sorry for your loss:(
  10. Cafe.Racer great seller, spot on with description, nice honest bloke, great at getting back to you and dam quick with getting gear out to you!
  11. The slow motion is great! Nice video!
  12. Not 100% on those models, but can find out for you. Here is a good site with all the models weather model ukmo - europe - surface pressure [base + 6] - weatheronline I use these but do have a bit of meteorology background
  13. The forecasts for wind are down to model output data, the model is great for predicting high winds within the troposphere but unfortunately gets a bit more tricky lower down 'or higher resolution' as there are more factors to take into account. All models have their weaknesses and sometimes by looking at a combination of data from met office model and data from other models would give you a better 'guess'
  14. Not had a look at the north kites, which types would you recommend? Yes will be going for a larger size board, are there any drawbacks with larger boards- do smaller ones turn better?
