Thanks for the info Sinbad... When you say fickle winds in Qld...just how fickle we talking about? Im thinking Tropical north Queensland perhaps even on an island but I cant seem to find an island that has wind with it...Any ideas or websites you can point me to?

I'm an Aussie chick who has been following the sun for the past 6 years. Due to my not so endless visa supplies, I'm thinking of moving back to Oz. Before I start looking for jobs I need to choose a Destination. With the up and coming winter months approaching, I'm thinking tropical... I like the idea of swaying palm trees, warm climate pretty much all year round and more importantly consistent winds, flat water and an already established kite surfing scene... Does this paradise in my mind exist somewhere in Australia and if so... Where the bloody hell is it??
