  1. Did the board ever turn up? Or money back?
  2. That is a great way to get people to try it! A few things I thought were: How long do they get to try the kite for? How much refundable deposit is put down? Does the kite come with kite killers as new people to the sport might want to try this. And how much do they pay if they break something? A line, burst a cell or rip the kite. I wish you every success with it all
  3. Just get some nice single line kites and get them used to flying.
  4. Sorry, rage sold on eBay. Kites I have left are listed below:
  5. Pm sent on behalf of glen. I'll have it if he doesn't :-)
  6. From paypal you will have the guys name and details. Pop into your police station with all the evidence and see where you go from there. Guttered for you thou
  7. So who is the bogus seller? Least others can avoid them
  8. Isn't the paypal gift/personal payment owed and not just gift? And standard parcel insure up to £46 ish so seller should take full responsibility if there is an issue with the post. What site was it brought from and who is the seller? Sure someone on here must know of him. I've been on the other side where the buyer has said they haven't received the item. I had sent it recorded and the nice man at the postoffice said he would even provide me a letter if needed. I was told that proof of postage would have been good enough, but not just a receipt. Proof of postage needs to be asked for. Good luck with your case
  9. Interested in the 1.6 Vibe and pm sent
  10. Are we starting on grammar now! That might keep lots of people from adding to the thread. 90% of posts on here have issues with grammar and punctuality
  11. I'm a qualified climbing instructor and kayaking instructor. I have been on assessments with complete muppets when I have paddled or climbed near them, but on the day they manage to do things right and pass! I think its that they cut corners and think they are big and clever when they are on there own and safety takes more of a back seat. So maybe this AP can do everything right when he needs to (or fluked it on the day?) But isn't it the responsibility of others who see others fly unsafe to report them if they are known to be in a place of responsibility? I don't mean to get them struck off, but shown the right way in how things should be done and what should always be avoided! If he becomes a fully qualified instructor he might get a job at a very reputable training centre and teaching young ones unsafe practice.
  12. How much did you want for the beamer? There is a lad in leicester looking at getting his own gear now.
  13. My friend works at the same school as his wife so will ask her to see how he is doing. Hope he pulls through alright.

  15. On a serious note, I really feel bad for the wife. When I had my accident last year it was my wife that had to pick up the pieces and keep everything going. Fair enough I was in a lot of pain, but I had pain relief for that. My wife had no relief and just had to keep going. Hence why she doesn't want me power kiting anymore.
  16. Maybe he saw mick on the beach and thought it was a LARGE obstruction??? And what is it about leaving his wife alone? She was very nearly single so doesn't it nearly make it fair game? So do people think the guy will kite surf again? I heard it was a lot worse than a couple of broken wrists.

  19. I've had a couple of goes at kite surfing down in sandbanks, and even though you are in a fairly safe environment I was with an instructor (well a friend that teaches it). On the safety side, I didn't even power kite on my own so would never dream of kitesurfing on my own! The social side is also lots better when you fly with others. The only way I could ever see anyone wanting to do it alone would be if flying with mick was your only alternative.... then its a coin flip lol

  21. I don't kite surf and didn't see a post about it. I admit I had a few beers last nite, but still. So does anyone know him at all? Is he a member on here?
  22. Just back to the original tread. In 2003 why did people struggle to solo launch and land kites? I had the 4.9 blade II and never had an issue. And back to who can restart the oldest tread. When was the first ever post on kitecrowd? And are the old links from when it was flexifoil still floating around on here?
  23. I don't know the kite surfer, but know of his wife. Here is the story from the local paper: Kite surfer in serious condition after incident in Hunstanton - News - Eastern Daily Press It was at hunstanton, so not sure if anyone has flown with him or knows him
  24. The kites look great! Can't wait to see them airborne! I'll try and pop up after work sometime if I can't get a weekend soon
  25. 2 buggies for sale, eolo and flexifoil. Not mine (wish I lived in Glasgow then they would have been) They only want £50 each for them! http://m.gumtree.com/v?adId=102165710 Hope they go to someone who needs them
