the lemming

Not been kiting long, and reading replies on this forum, it seems like Kiting is a mostly male pastime. Or am I wrong? BTW, this isn't a veiled attempt at stalking. I'm quite happy with my non-kite flying other half.

Thank you for the replies and suggestions on new handles for my kite. When I first bought my lines and handles I bought some kite killers and I sure was glad of that decision because the second time I took it out to play was in 15mph winds gusting to 30mph. I'm not ashamed to admit it but I pooped my pants at the power this puppy can exert. :-) I'm a bit confused by suggestions that I've posted in the wrong forum though. Seeing as I knew that my first ever posting on this forum, had to be passed by a moderator, I took the time to read the forum descriptions and thought that I had chosen the correct area. The blurb for this forum states: "Come discuss technique, safety, gear and the best locations with everyone from beginners to pro kitesurfers " Isn't an inquiry about replacement handles a 'gear' question?

Hello After initially purchasing a power kite in a drunken ebay bid, I have come to the conclusion that this kiting malarkey is fun. At the time I did not realise that the winning bid came without lines or handles which was no great problem as I just bought them at a local kite shop. Unfortunately the cheap £10 handles that I bought arn't exactly comfortable and I would appreciate some recommendations for replacements. I'm not agter anything cheap and not made of gold either. My kite is a 3.9 Viper, if that helps in recommendations. Cheers
