  1. Hmm not too interested in a composite axle, but if anyone has a wide axle for the flexi (scout in my case) flying around and would be shipping to Germany.... at an affordable price, that would be awesome!
  2. Hi Folks, a couple of pics of the SPO event can be found here. There are also a couple of pics of Gerd among them. Have fun Seite
  3. Hi, the list is filling nicely. Have a look.
  4. Photos can be arranged The impression of the package from trickbitz was just the same, darn heavy and really well packed. The backrest makes small buggies so much more comfortable. Sometimes, when I get out of the Scout, people just drop down and won´t ever get up again. It becomes a deck chair So for the pics: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_eyl5lzK6bAM/S6psm3uiz3I/AAAAAAAAB-c/UWiS2QNuFfU/s720/P3242044.JPG http://lh6.ggpht.com/_eyl5lzK6bAM/S6psumIBqmI/AAAAAAAAB-o/oN2EOQc5YZc/s720/P3242046.JPG http://lh3.ggpht.com/_eyl5lzK6bAM/S6pszxblk6I/AAAAAAAAB-s/XodL-l7LeL4/s720/P3242047.JPG Just to give you the impression of how really comfy it gets: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_eyl5lzK6bAM/TGw6qE9PNVI/AAAAAAAACf4/nd2o3uUefYQ/s576/IMG_9096.jpg
  5. Hi Kristiaan, have a look at this:
  6. Craig Sparks, ok, thanks a lot. Now I´ll try and get one of the last....
  7. You´re the man Craig! I mean diameter of the tubes is one thing, but since the wide axle is not originally made for the scout and rumor has it that sidetubes have changed...
  8. fibre, I know, BUT to clarify: person A says it´ll fit - I think person B says it won´t fit - most likely PL person says we make one that fits If I had to pick .... well I do You have proof it fits? I´d buy it straight away provided the seller ships to Germany, which a lot of ppl here in the forum don´t....
  9. Thanks for the offer Craig, sent you a pm.
  10. Hi, since I mainly use the Flexi scout for cruising I was wondering if the wide axle fit the scout at all, though it´s been a while since I did the turtle.... Meaning - has anybody really tried fitting it to the scout? I have contradictory information whether it fits or not. It seems hard to get one of the wide axles these days, so before I start a wild chase after something that won´t fit, I thought I´d post this. If push comes to shove I´d be able to have one made, but I´d rather stick to the original (probably cheaper), anyway. Any information would be great!
  11. slow/fast? Hehe just kidding. I didn´t get along with my ace, which does not in turn mean it´s a bad kite at all. What I absolutely loathed about all my panshes was the ability to suck up water like a sponge. A bit of seal n glide solved that, though. So true, but compare the "sale because a butan III is aproaching fast" price to the price of used Yaks... in the end you get what you pay for, plus I did support the domestic economy. ;-)
  12. Hey Cust, did the Ace change in any way in the last two years? I used to have a 6m and it was slow turning like schoolbus. CJ, the U-turn Butan II is on sale at drachenstore.de under "Schnäppchen". Excellent kite for the money, huge pull, easy to maneuver. Probably not the lightest of kites, but can still keep up well enough with current race kites. On shorter lines, like 16m it turns very quickly and shorter lines seem to take off some of the lift as well. It is very well behaved in gusting inland and coastal conditions.
  13. Sorry, I don´t know. Might be though, if its the same Nick as in the KLB rankings I would think so.
  14. Better not hit a bump in that ...ummm.. thing!? It´ll rip your bum straight off. Good luck to all of you on the speed record!
  15. Hey Craig, I think that is an awesome idea to compile a full (rather put it growing) list of tricks. For a buggy noob I´d like to see explanations on what to do and how to do it, too, to give a noob like me a rough direction. I´d also be really helpful to put the list of tricks into some kind of order, like start with xy progress to yz, you get my meaning. But that would be a reference work, honestly so much as I´d like it I can understand something like that does not exist for the huge amount of work it would make.... Keep em coming though! Great work.
  16. Here´s mine, pimped with buggybagmans gear (splashguard, bag and seat) next to the performer of a friend of mine, whom you see in the background setting up his Yak. I forgot the bellypan at home and the backrest from trickbitz is probably still travelling to and fro GB from Germany..... stupid postal services... http://lh6.ggpht.com/_eyl5lzK6bAM/S4GAK7T9OLI/AAAAAAAABxs/ZuVWeKOuDok/s912/P2201785_DxO.jpg http://lh3.ggpht.com/_eyl5lzK6bAM/S4GAT6we6NI/AAAAAAAABx0/TCsukK_5-yo/s912/P2201787_DxO.jpg http://lh6.ggpht.com/_eyl5lzK6bAM/S4GAYZunQhI/AAAAAAAABx4/LrJBH6y5mBo/s912/P2201788_DxO.jpg
  17. So anyone of you plan on coming? Would be cool to meet some other folks of the crowd.
  18. Paul, the majority of german riders are racebuggy riders. If you come up with a question regarding small buggies like the PLs, Flexi (anyone heared of flexi in Germany!?) or something along this line - probably even the zebra buggy or anything smaller than a v-max - you´ll have to hear something along the line "get a real bug" " that´s for kids" " no side and back support".... Flexi is not a big shot in Germany, PLs aren´t evangelists of quality... You can also see this on the used market, where libre, bbs, viper dominate with the "starter": v-max (or higher quality choices). Homebrew bugs are mainly racebugs, too. Most of the really nice beaches are subject to the German Parakart Association, which means you got to have a valid license and insurance to have a go with your bug. Actually I think this is great and gives each rider a "guaranteed safety" that there are no fools around. Since rules are strict no wonder the racers stick to their territory and defend it to their lines. In general this leads to a wider acceptance towards bigger race-type buggies - which in return shows on the market. Inland this might be a different story. But then all my friends ride huge buggies, too. I have to admit, I like the dragster, the few times I´ve ridden it, but I wouldn´t be able to transport or store it. This boils down to: freeriders are not in their right minds and put themselves and other riders in danger. I might have to stress that I used the word racers as the other team, not everybody races, and this may include the hobby cruiser, too. Have a look into this thread (translated for your viewing pleasure lol): Google Nachricht ranting will start on page 3 or so and the translation is terrible.. but you´ll get the drift.
  19. You might want to have a look at these babies, sand, mud, dirt, no worries. K&B Snatchblock - K & B Shop
  20. Woot, good news. Freestyle buggying is really frowned upon in germany, so I am really surprised to hear about a happening!
  21. Look in the dealer - sales section, I think it´s the first post
  22. Nice picture So how do you like the scout compared to the ss flexi?
  23. Hans, don´t be disappointed by comments. In the end you should be at the point already where you know you folks can do the expedition despite what anybody says. Honestly I think, too, that your website is no eyecatcher... It would be really great to be informed along the way, something like a blog, where you can have a quick glace, see the news, development of the buggy, hear about your struggle for sponsors, what (special) kites you use, ...just keep it short and simple. I´d really like to follow a project like yours. I am sure that there are more people willing to help, with huge experience in the field of buggies and kiting, than you might think. Thumbs up, keep us posted please! Olli
  24. Service and Quality are well worth the wait! Jon sent me one just before x-mas it´s so much more comfy (in the flexi) than the original scout seat.
