  1. So much for contacting Flexifoil club zero4bc on there new e-mail address, I thought I would do the rite thing and contact them with my details and insurance as discused in previous threads. Not a single reply since this thread started. Flexifoil a bad name. hq and peter lynn forever
  2. I apologise to you all if my thread came over aggressive, it was not intentianal. As a newcomer to the sport I made the initial enquiry so that I abided by the rules. Responses to it, did give the impression that it was a very closed doors affair as to who rides there and who doesent!, and some left you guessing! asking for e-mails and private messages only adds to this. If the locals/pros who are involved in monitoring the area are genuinely happy for other users to use the area, and I do mean the RSPB area, then may I suggest refrain from using the word CLUB+MEMBER open a communal forum where anyone who wants to can be involved, get some signage on the beach?, people only have to then post a thread which you can use as feedback to the third parties. Most importantly an open forum unites peolple and makes them feel apart, something which I think is missing at the moment.
  3. You are implying that peolple must go through a selection process and seek permission from you or the people you are representing to use the beach in question? NOT TRUE... Any Tom, Dick, or Harry can use this part of the beach unnanounced legally without seeking approval from you or anyone else. I would lose the word CLUB + MEMBRSHIP, open a forum to all who wish to use the area and this way you are able to monitor the usage to enable feedback to Parish Council English Nature RSPB Common Right Holders Norfolk Coast Partnership And do what was asked of the original voluntary group SIMPLE... (I only wanted a day there whilst on holiday gona go to Mablethorpe next time)
  4. Opening a can of worms!!!!!!!!!! I am not a law breaker and I abide by the rules, So I made my own investigations into the use of the part of beach in question, with the RSPB and the Coastel warden. The outcome was that there are NO LEGAL implications of the use of any traction sport activities on the RSPB leased area of beach. Several years ago when the RSPB was aware that a growing trend of traction activities was taking part on the beach, Rather than try and ban them, they wanted to monitor it, however due to cost issues, it was decided that an experimental voluntary managment program would be set up to do this. A group of local riders with local interest in the sport. And so was born the elusive club zero4bc to self regulate and monitor, by raising awareness and educating. From historic forum discussions on the subject of the use of brancaster for these activities, I believe that the monitoring side of things has been lost by these people and it has become far to easy to use scare tactics!,- members only, bans in place etc etc. Not addressing the problems that could occur with over use. So Its not a question of me using the beach as a guest, it is open to any enthusiast. That said I would hope that if anyone does want to use this part of the beach that you use it sensibly and respect other useres, I would suggest that as some of you guys are veterans of the sport that you should re-think the issues that have surrounded brancaster and communicate with each other for a common goal. Just out of interest is area for Flexifoil photo shoots?
