  1. Nah no permits needed for that end of the island its all very safe and soundies there. Awesome sandy stretches bit patchy with water spots sometimes though. But yeah its good. I should imagine that there will be a couple of campsites around Red Wharf, like Llanddona etc. But.... theres a few people staying at the campsite at Rhosneigr which you'd probably be safer with in both campsite respects and kiting aspects judging by the wind forecasts.
  2. YAY CANT WAIT TIL FRIDAY!! First Rhossy trip of the year for me I think?!!
  3. the beach just before Rhosneigr, when you approach the town theres a hotel pub on the right, after the pub, again, on the right theres a little car park thats sometimes easy to miss. But park up in there and then follow the little river round to the beach I think thats the one any ways
  4. yeah its good. Me and my friend mike have already flown there. It's great when you get the wind in right direction, better than the main beach at Rhossy in someways because you get the wind straight on with no obstacles
  5. Yeah I really liked the water but I won't be doing just waterb I'll be doing land as well of course, but it's time to move on sadly
  6. tis an 09 kite Bump! Great guy with a great kite

  8. Here I have my beloved Peter Lynn 12m Phantom in orange for sale. POSSIBLY SOLD: PENDING PAYMENT I've had this kite for just over two years now and has served me very well. It's taught me everything I know in kiteboarding and I hope it can do the same for someone else. The kite itself has no repairs or damage, the only slight thing is a very small hole in one of the spar pockets about 3mm wide. It has both spars although one is not fully collapsible. the bar and lines are in reasonable condition with all original parts. Any other things needed to know, just ask Im looking for £220 RTF inc postage to Mainland UK or £170 Kite and Bag only inc postage. PM for any inquiries!!

  15. Well all hope for a first smurfing session have been shattered unless the forecasts are wrong all low wind thanks mr & mrs cartlidge for buying new toys lol. I'm coming to kinmel bay to steal your FS! Hope it's a worthwhile piece of kit, they seem fantastic from videos I've seen. If anyone finds any decent wind be sure to alert us
  16. Glad to hear your loving the new toys Karl. Had a cracking day at Alton Towers yesterday if that counts for anything. But now i've had my days off for this week working for the rest of the weekend and not off until Wednesday now, so gotta wait 5 days before I can even consider a session anywhere!
  17. Nice one Karl, sounds great. Bet your pleased you got that stuck in your quiver now! A kite for every occasion now is it? @bartie, where did you start, and finish? Crazy gal! Liam, depends where your headed and what time, like I said I gotta be in work for 4PM unfortunatly.
  18. Jealous much? I wanna go play but Im going Alton Towers so my airs will probably be bigger than yours lol Even if they are machine assisted Anything for Friday? Im not in work until 4PM. Cheers again to Karl for the board, and Gizmo for the wetty!!
  19. yeah I know which one your on about Its the only house that stands by itself isnt it? oh n do you want anything for the door?
  20. 1.Roll kite downwind 2. close deflate zipper and open inflate, stand there holding zip open until inflated. 3. Close inflate zipper. 4. Lay out lines upwind at a 60 degree angle away from the kite. 5. Walk through lines to ensure they detangle (remember red lines left, grey on the right) 6. Attach leading lines first (top pigtails) 7. Attach back lines 8. Hook up to your harness ensure the sheeting is all the way in (zero power) 9. Walk back and put a little tension in the lines, then pull the leading line furthest away at the top end of the kite and the kite should start to curl up and slowly launch as you walk back. That's the set up and launch procedure in a nut shell, now here's step 10 Whack up the power, jump on a board and get some air!!! Hope this helped a little, have fun and stay safe!
  21. scrub quasar 2 are awesome for downhilling if you can keep an eye out for one of those they'll get you going in no time. They are wide and long with decent bindings and channel trucks, plenty of flex and a low profile. The trucks are 12mm and come complete with stainless bearings in a typical set up. Just keep an eye out for one if you like the sounds of it. Or the next best thing would be an MBS Comp 95, depending where you buy it you might even get a brake kit with it, which is optional to ride with. Decent boards as well with the Matrix trucks that MBS supply (basically channel really) flysurfer1080 on this forum has one in red and its a good board for downhill as long as you keep with the matrix trucks, do not do what he did and change over to skate trucks! No Good!
  22. all fixings usually get supplied with any parts you buy, but if youre ever in need of anything or are unsure then the guys at trampa are always handy for that kinda stuff
  23. the best thing to do is buy a blank deck thats suits you and try and scout the for sale sections for cheap components that you can easily put together yourself, that way it'll probably cost you just under £200.
