  2. Buuump Kite is clean and lovely, only selling as I bought a 4m blade which always gets flown instead of the Blurr, shame to have it sitting in a bag when someone else could be enjoying it.
  3. Awesome. I can't believe I've attracted an international kiting megastar to the thread Keep the offers coming Rich...

  5. Hi all, I was down at Rhossy on Sunday as well... being chased by my girlfriend's dog most of the time:rolleyes: . Looks like there were a couple of you down there too, not sure who it was that seemed to be trying to fly over the dunes to the RAF base but it looked like a laugh. Also liked the pink buggy! I live on Anglesey and have been buggying for a couple of years, but most of the guys I normally fly with moved to Oz a few months ago. Drop me a line next time you're out. John
  6. AH.... I seeeee Still, interesting thread though.
  7. Anc, If the kite is losing power and dropping then you need to turn slightly towards the wind. As you turn you get more tension in the lines and the kite will power up again. The trick is to keep making small adjustments towards the wind until you find the angle to the wind where the kite is fully powered up and you still have grip... just. it should feel like your back wheels are constantly trying to slide, but not quite managing it. At this point the kite will be lowish and to your side. You'll probably find this is at an angle which is slightly downwind. You don't mention what kind if kite you fly but most kites will develop a little more power if you tweak the breaks slightly when they're powered up, otherwise a good move is to keep the kite as low as possible and work it up and down like a wave. Depends on the conditions though. Having the kite low and to your side is the right way to go about it, but basically the further in front of you you can get the kite while it's fully powered up the better. Hope that all makes sense! JK
  8. Getting back on thread for a moment... My (second hand) bug came with a VERY small, thin washer in the headstock immediately under the large top washer, it's not present on any of my friends bugs. However, I've never had any problems with the steering, never squeaked or seized up, it's always been perfect. Is this little washer normal? Or has someone added it on?
  9. Scratch that. Got airborne with my Blurr 3.5 in 20mph wind tonight. Which leads me to one logical conclusion... Get both.
  10. To summarise: If you want to get airborne, get a blade. Otherwise, get a blurr. Simple.

    Second Law

Does anyone know anything about a video that used to be on youtube called Second Law (or possibly secondlaw, can't remember). I remember seeing it ages ago but can't find it now Think it had some of the Flexi team in it (again... I could be wrong about that). Good vid though! Anyone?

No bearings to look after and cheap to replace. A drop of silicone lube every now and again and it's sweet, works fine under load too.
  14. Just swapped back to a standard axle from my wide axle too. I found it pretty hard to close the buckles with the wide axle, I think it's normal. Make sure all the other buckles are loose before you start, and do those two up first. Good Luck!
  15. Cheers for all the helpful replies fellas. Ripstop repair tape already on order My axle is just a standard M12 fitting, best get myself down to the hardware shop. Many thanks John
  16. Well... I've finally managed to bend one of back wheel bolts on my flexi buggy (been trying for ages ). Never occured to me that they'd be so expensive to replace!!! Anyone know a where I can find a cheap supply While I'm at it, I've got a small hole in my 4.5 Bullet too! What's the best way to patch it up? Don't fancy paying £50 for a proper repair as I'll probably be upgrading to a Blade 4.9 pretty soon. Gaffer tape?
