cool guys, thanks for the responses. just need to keep my eyes open for some good second hand deals or some really good sales! i do agree with comments about not getting a complete beginner kite - dont want to have to replace too soon.

hi all I'm in the market for another kite as a beginner who has just started boardstarts and downwind riding in portugal. not wanting to forget it all, i took my underused and old kites out to check whether they were still holding air. my 10m north vegas has blown another leak that i wont be repairing again - and it is an old 2007 model. i have an almost new 12m flexifoil proton (2012 or earlier) and a 14m north vegas (2007) both of which are still ok.so looking to replace the 10m. what kites are good for beginners? i would probably be looking for a decent second hand kite. what are the slingshot rpm's like? any advice would be hugely appreciated.

hope i'm not hijacking this thread. noticed a few comments about purley way and thought i would ask if anyone still kites there. if anyone does, do you know whether the football posts are up at the moment? are the fields in good condition at the moment? any comments would be great as i haven't been for ages and would prefer not to drive all the way there to find out

ok, know that i have asked this question before, but are the posts up now? i'm wondering whether its worth heading down there tomorrow for the day. don't mind if they're but there is still some good space. anyone who knows or lives that way, please let me know.

looking to head down to bournemouth or poole on sunday. where's best to kite? i have seen some kiting further along bournemouth beach, but not sure how to get there? do you walk all the way down from the pier? are you able to kite from sandbanks beach? if you can, is that the beach almost opposite poole harbour? any help appreciated as i don't want to get there and have to drive around for hours finding the best place to park up.

thanks all. that pretty much answers my queries except one. does it make much of a difference getting a wetsuit designed more for kite / windsurfing? i know that may sound like a stupid question, but what is the real difference and how much will you notice it?

hi, looking to sell my sabre 2 9.5m in petrol complete RTF. kite is in mint condition and with no rips or tears. dakine fuion seat harness size large with spreader bar and leash. harness is in great condition. i would prefer to sell them together, but will split if i need to. looking for £250 + postage, and am open to sensible offers

its been ages since i last bought a wetsuit and will be the first time i am buying for the uk. does anyone have any advice on what to look for? what thickness is good that will get me through winter and then still be ok in the warmer months? do you get wetsuits with removable legs and arms so that you can use it for different conditions? where's a good place to look for good prices online?

i am in cornwall for a week in mid-august and want to do my kitesurfing lessons while there. has anyone ever used mobius near the perranporth / hayle area? any comments? i will be doing a few hours 1:1 session.

what are the good beaches to get to? are they are short drive good enough for a short day trip?

is sandbanks any good for landboarding? heading to poole for the weekend and wanted to try somewhere other than baiter park. if you do what is the best way to get to a good spot? driving over the chain ferry?

will have to convert all of those responses into a mental image now before i go out next. sounds pretty much as i thought. the relaunch will look very similar to a relaunch of a 4 line lei such as warro i guess.

hi i need to lear how to self launch a north vegas. have been looking around for decent vids to illustrate, but not been able to find anything decent. don't want to spend all of my time flying on handles just because there is noone to help me launch. anyone got any decent vids? thanks
