In a fairly soul destroying incident a couple of weeks ago, my 10M Frenzy 05 ended up damaged. The upshot? Time for a new toy, so I'm looking for some advice...
My Situation:
I landboard. Started on fixed bridle foils. Moved onto the frenzy - I'm not a bad standard - can jump pretty high - grabs, and, when the wind's playing nice, 360s etc...
I fly inland (Roundhay park in Leeds usually). The wind can be gusty - nothing the frenzy couldn't handle though (although it did take a while to master it in the really lumpy stuff)
I tend to fly on my own so self setup, launch, landing and packing up is very important to me - Having said that, I don't mind putting time in to learn a technique if it can be done alone - must be in any wind conditions though...
So the options...
Peter Lynns - Never flown one though. what are peoples experiences who have moved from depower foils to arcs?
SLEs - Look good for tricks and that's my bag really. I've been told this is the best way to go by a few people on shops. Will I be able to set these up / land them etc safely on my own?
Another depowerable foil... If I do go down this route, what should I go for. How does the new frenzy FX compare with the 05. What about flysurfer - are these psycho 3s really worth the £1000 price tag? What about this manta 2 - bearing in mind my normal inland flying conditions...
Any experiences people have, that may help me make the right decision much appreciated. Anybody not too far from Leeds who doesn't mind letting me have a little go on any of the above options very, very appreciated.
