  1. ha ha it's so top secret no one can see it!
  2. If you join TKSA all our hidden and secret spots will be revealed to you on the new website soon to open up at www.tksa.org.au You can also win a surfboard. Most crew don't like wholesale advertising of their spots, so the tksa site will only allow paid tksa members to see the locations and hidden detail that guys have learnt from over 10 years kiting random spots in this state. it'll also have special bits on reading the weather that only kite surfers would know. Anyway that's one option. Cheers
  3. ace winds on Thurs and Friday with 20-25kn a guys on 6.5m to 9m's. Kited our anusus' off then sat around and ate all night over the wood fired bbq of excellent man food. The night was completed with a nice comfortable strangle wank by all. Sat and Sun produced light 15kn winds and some boring kiting, but the beers, music and kicking it on the beach made it unreal. We kited everyday and upheld the honour of all Ducks Nutians!!! See you all at the next one,
  4. Starting this Thursday at the Balck River Camp ground, part of Peggs Beach Conservations area. Mostly kiting the western side of stanley over at Greenhills/hell fire I'm thinking.

(You can join the club at any event) Prizes include a can of coke, maybe a sausage and possibly even a beer if you're lucky. It's about fun, surf, water, kites and camping. More details on the site http://www.kitesurftasmania.com.au.tt and soon http://www.tksa.org.au October 1,2,3,4 Stanley - “The Original Ducks Nuts” November 19th to 22nd “4 days in Hobart looking for a Duck” January 22nd to the 26th “The Marrawah Mega Wave Nuts” April 2nd to the 6th North Coast “Easter Festival of the Duck”
  6. It's Buck Rogers from the 21st Century!!
  7. nice one JK I printed that puppy out. Now with beer in one hand and pie in the other I can stretch my bits to perfection!
  8. Mam that looks RAD, and I'm a little pissed i missed it but thems the breaks. What a spot for a fire, very weak looking that one, that place looks povo as... Nice shot of Ando flying above shippies there, was that an air he got off the lip or what? Glad you had a ripper time!
  9. Hey I'll be about Waterhouse Point/beach on Thurs to Saturday. Should be some kinda westerly flow thurs and friday with swell. Looks like a nice setup on waterhouse beach. If anyones keen call me o418 993 823 Sam
  10. Cool Vid Lisa!
  11. share away big cat, it's all good!
  12. Ah hA! Stoked on that one Lisa, I can't believe they put little ol' me on there that show there. Yuk. It must've been the Saturday as I got that hell trashed on Saturday night I couldn't pump my kite up for the finals on Sunday! If anyone wants one for $5 I've got autographed 6x9 portraits for sale.
  13. mating killer whales...
  14. updated the site with a couple of shots. All in all a great time but my tent got flattened. That makes the Greens Beach flattened tent death rate for the 21st century around about 15000. You'd think we'd have learnt by now. Serves me right for launghing at Rapples little $54 2-man, "but only if you really love the other guy" tent. Good thing the big wagon converted into a lovely sleep out. No mega phones either, it was quite pleasant at night. I'm rooted it's hot. Yay!
  15. That's Nettley Bay you found, have kited it, not terribly friendly place though. To get to bluff follow the main road South around 10km ish and turn right to Bluff Point. Then follow the track all the way in and take the right at the shacks. Follow that to the creek and then either walk or drive (4wd) 200m down the beach and over the rocks. And there lies a good 1km of beach that gets great swell. Hopefully catch up with you somewhere soon Wayno!
  16. It's those knob jockeys out there burleying up for "Mako" sharks. They drift until they find a shark and often end up right in close to shore. Wont be long before it's like Jaws7 around here!
  17. UPDATE: It looks like the West Coast is going to go North Westerly for most of the weekend. Most likely the stayers will get a seabreeze on Monday afternoon. At this stage it's still hard to predict, but there will be wind for sure, just not cross off, more like cross on to on-cross-on in big meaty waves. (expecting 5m swell to subside from Friday on) Either way could get some nice surfing in the mornings and good old hearty mushy big mentalness in during the day at Greens, Lighthouse or Bluff depending on how excited we all get. If your going to cancel, let me know! Previously... ... should be getting some great seabreezes by then with hopefully some nice but not too hairy swells (AKA 8m!) Stay tuned for updates but should be camping at Greens Point Beach if all goes well. Some great prizes (?) and an excellent spot for waves. I'll be there on Friday night until hopefully Monday arvo, conditions dependent. Alternatives include tow-in surfing, surfing, suping, fishing, camping, drinking and eating. Please let me know if your coming, it helps with catering... I don't expect a huge crew. Note: There will be some windsurfers getting around prior to the nationals the following week, so give 'em some space, and follow the line up if it's tight. I'm expecting the be at Bluff Beach a fair bit, maybe BOL if we get some testicles and a ski for support and the old faithful Greens with the whopping great wind hole about 100m out. Can't wait.
  18. http://http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=JYTypmEGlWYhttp://au.youtube.com/watch?v=JYTypmEGlWY A video of the weekend..
  19. Plenty of room for landboarding, heaps. I'll be there Friday night I presume and leave Sunday arvo.
  20. Ok it's on, due to the forecast we've opted for camping at Narawntapu National Park. (North Coast b/w Devonport and Launie) Yes there is National Park fees and camping fees and we can't have a fire, BUT the spot is ideal for kiting. Bakers beach generates great swell in a NW and the lee side gives ample locations for flat water seeking behaviour. The camp is essentially on the water too. It's just another gathering, so bring your camping gear and food. I'll try to have a communal BBQ and some snags, and a heap of cans for the thirsty crew. It'll be great if you can make it, sorry the wind gods denied the East Coast, but at least here we should have decent winds. Cheers, Sam
  21. Please post any tips about your local spot to keep our beaches happy friendly places. If we look out for each other, respect other beach users and keep the new guys informed all will be well.
  22. Well maybe 5 mins if you put up a 16m on the West Coast and only want to go East...
  23. Yep the forecast has basically rooted the East Coast so some re-location is being planned... stay tuned...
  24. I had a great time down in Ho ho cheers for the sessions at 7-mile, Cremorne and Bellerive. Unreal to get out and UP so much!!
