Dude how did you go? Due to lack of wind on my first lesson I jumped the beginner learner kite straight to a big girl and found i flew that pretty good but had my second lesson not about a week and a half ago and flew it like shit in the body drag stage and aint feeling that confident about getting up on the board in the next. Who was your teacher?

I'll run the mud wrestling by her but am fairly sure that she is more of a jelly kind of gal:yes3:. Just gotta figure out what size to get and what kinda board then will be off to Geelong to have a look at this sik kite shop everyone raves abou. Was kinda hoping to have purchased a rig before i finsh my lessons so i dont get all chicken when i cant do it straight away but that is yet to happen. Maybe i should book a flight to check out this pond in WA WA land? Looks amazing! CAll me dumb but i thought pretty much the wind caused alot of waves?

Gday Gang! I’m an EXTREME kite flying wannabe greeting all and expressing my keenness to dig right into this wicked activity. A bit over a year ago down on St Kilda esplanade I watched as a dude strapped in and launched himself about 10 foot into the air landing on the water cruising along easy as pie (into the sunset or something) making me think I really wanna do that. I travelled overseas and found myself in freezing cold temperatures in Wales having a crack at some lesson’s with a guy named Alex Tritten, a French dude with a Czech Mrs Living in Wales so you can imagine the struggle to understand one of the strangest accents I have ever heard in my life . Although I only got to the body drag stage of the lesson I was hooked and am just going through some lessons again with Kite Republic in St Kilda in Melbs. I’m looking forward to purchasing my own rig and getting out there Solo man style. Possibly out for a lesson tomorrow or the next day?? So beware of the guy near on cutting people’s heads off :sorry:and some fairly annoying questions to come from someone with no sailing or surfing background at all. G’day again all! Kane
