  1. Windmeter Sold!
  2. I am offering for sale; A skywatch explorer 1 - Hardly used, still with original packaging and little plastic cover on screen. Cost £27 new, I would let it go for £18 inc postage. An MBS Ambush Warrior mountain board, comes with bindings and brakes(which can be removed for kite boarding) Instructions and tools. Little used - cost £150 new. I'm looking for £60 inc postage. Pictures available for both.
  3. I too have suffrered with with problems, but with my hip rather than my knee after an 'incident' launching a 6m access! It has cost me a year of pain and misery and i've spent a lot of time thinking about where it all went wrong. I now realise that buying a depower kite was a mistake for me because it means that you are 'attached' to the kite permanently. There are safety releases but i did not have the reaction time to activate it before the kite launched me across the beach at great speed! I have also had incidents flying my trusty bullets, but many of these were my own doing by not using Kite killers. On many occasions, I could have just let go of the kite rather than run like crazy to stop it from pulling me on my face, and on other occasions, I could have let go of the kite and not have to run halfway accross the beach to recover it. I am now cosidering buying a blokart to get back on the beach and have some fun. they are a lot easier on the body than than kite buggying. Hope you recover well. Darren. PS - Have a happy new year everyone, lets hope 2008 brings good wind!
  4. AVOID PC WORLD LIKE THE PLAQUE! I bought a toshiba laptop with pc world, they are only interested in selling stuff and don't give a damn when you have problems - "please telephone our helpline at £# per minute, and you will need to call them at least 10 times before they collect your item for repair" !!!!!! I would never buy another computer from them. Last Autumn I bought 3 Dell pc's online which have worked perfectly to date, although i couldn't comment on customer support (due to lack of problems). I also found their website a bit confusing at first, but got it sussed after a bit of time. I did try to buy from my local shop but it came as no surprise to find they had a backlog of orders (everyone else sick of pcworld). I know it is easy and convenient to order something online but you can't beat the convenience of "problem sir? Just drop it in and we'll sort it for you". Best of luck with the purchase, Darren. Ordering
  5. Bullets 5.5 and 4.5 have been sold, mountain/kite board still up for grabs.
  6. I have for some years been flying Flexi Bullets (all except the 7.0m). I came to the conclusion that once the wind dropped below the working range of the 5.5 metre kite, any kite would struggle to fly. The larger kites would fly well in a straight line but were prone to 'luffing' at the turn and it takes a lot of skill to keep a large kite in the air in such conditions. As the Rage is aimed towards the novice/intermediate flyer, perhaps Flexi felt that a larger model would be unsuitable for such flyers? If you rally want a 8.0m Rage, perhaps you could start an online Petition and present it to Flexifoil. If Flexi think the market wants one, they will spend the money to develop it.

  8. Bullets and landboard still up for grabs!
  9. For sale due to dodgy hip! Flexi 04 Bullet 4.5m Orange/grey, Used 6 times. As new condition. comes with standard lines and handles, instructions and rucksack. Paid £200 new, I'm looking for £140 + p+p. Flexi Bullet 5.5m Blue/grey, Used quite a lot. Excellent kite. Flies really well and in good condition. Comes with standard lines and handles, instructions + rucksack. Paid £250, I'm looking for £140 + p+p. Pictures are available if you want a look. Both these kites fly really well and I wouldn't consider selling them if i could still fly. Also MBS ambush Warrior Mountainboard. Comes with bindings and brakes! Brakes can be removed for kiteboarding. I paid £150 new, I'm looking for £70 plus p+p
  10. I've had 43.8mph with a 2.5m bullet and libre vmax on a very good day at pendine, I can't wait for another day like that!
  11. I would like to wish everyone a happy new year! Especially the regulars at pembrey and pendine (CLSC) Let's hope 2007 brings some better weather than tonight!
  12. Perhaps this sounds stupid but i use Chainsaw 'pull cord' bought from my local hardware store. 4mm rope cost £1 per metre and hasn't snapped yet!
  13. I owned a peter lynn folder for a few years which was very convenient to lug around, but not half as stable as a libre special! It was a good buggy, but would have benefitted from having a deeper seat and more back support(the new peter lynn folder has higher side frames which most probably creates a deeper seat than the original). I think that the telescopic axle idea is very good!
  14. As well as streched bridles, it may be possible that a previous owner tried to 'tune' the kite by deliberately modifying the bridle lengths. Try and find someone with another bullet 7m and compare the bridle lengths. another theory is that there may be sand inside the cells of the kite causing problems(but perhaps you would need a lot of sand to kill a 7m bullet!) Are there any tears or rips on the kite or in between the cells? maybe worth checking.
