  1. That's exactly what I want, thanks very much for your help!
  2. Hi guys, I'm thinking of booking a holiday to come down to Gwithian in October but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a tide timetable so I can pick the best week to book with the most beach possible avaloable during the day?

    Top Gear

Also in HD for the first time!
  4. Just my 2p worth but a lot of it is also going to depend on whether you are interested in the better sound avaliable on Blu Rays and if so what surround sound set up you have. There is a big difference in the sound quality between normal Dolby Digital or DTS compared to Dolby Digital-True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio so something to consider. Some players wil decode the HD sound tracks on board and then send it to your amp decoded so your amp doesn't need to be new enough to do it itself, other players do not decode and so just send the encoded sound track straight to your amp to deal with and so you need an amp capable of decoding it. If you have an older amp then get a player that decodes the HD sound (the PS3 is one but others are as well and have better optics for picture quality too). If you have a newer amp that can decode the HD sound then there is no point paying for the decoding in a player as well when the extra money could be spent on better picture quality.

    Upgrading to Sky+

As I said for the sports and movies you do have to suscribe to these to get them in HD but for everything else you do not. So you would still get all the Discovery HD channels for instance even if you don't have the SD Discovery channels.

I pretty sure that's not right, the £9.75 per month covers you for all the non-premium HD channels, so basicaly everything apart from the sports and movies even if you only have the basic SD package.
  7. Yeah sorry for the hijack, I just had to comment on a nice set of MAs Completely agree about the subs by the way.
  8. Nice set up Zotty I've been trying to justify to the other half for a while now switching our B&W speakers in for a set of Moniter Audio's.
  9. Most single seater championships have tethers now but I'm not certain about F2, even so they only work some of the time as they can only handle a certain amount of load and the direction the wheel is hit from to tear it away makes a big diffrence.
  10. There is an issue with the turbo models which have a recall out currenlty so they can have a remap on the ECU. THe current map is wrong and can cause an engine knock at higher revs. This is only a problem on non-jap spec cars as the europe/UK cars do not get the forged engine internals that the Jap cars get and so they are not quite as strong and can not take the knock for very long causing engine failure. I beleive the non-turbo models are absolutley fine.
  11. The boyfriend has just bought a new shape Impreza STI 330S, he's actually in love with it . I wasn't completely convinced but when we went to see one in the flesh and test drove it it won me over (plus it goes like **** off a shovel!) The servicing even on his one is 12,000 or 1 year so I would imagine the 2.0l would be no different if not longer servicing intervals. The best thing is it's a hatch so you can fit all your gear in unlike the old shape STIs http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc343/HawkerFury/DSCN1963.jpg http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc343/HawkerFury/DSCN1962.jpg This was our last trip to Gwithian, as you can see you can fit a fair amount in!
  12. Finally somebody remembers! I had this very conversation at work yesterday and everybody thought I was mad when I mentioned the yo-yo's
  13. They are an official Oakley dealer and they do send them off for Oakley lenses to be put in. They didn't even offer any other option other than Oakley lenses in an Oakley frame to me. I have bought Oakley frames before and then had none Oakley lenses put in them but the lenses where just not a s good which is why this time I went to Vison Express so I could have Oakley lenses. They measured my pupil distance and everything and that went on the order to Oakley so no issues when they came in two weeks later.
  14. I got my prescription Oakleys from Vision Express. As others have said there is a limit on what strength lenses you can have put in and each frame is different. Vision Express have a list of all the frames (old and new) and what they can take. I think all the frames went up to -4.5 and then only a few over that up to -6 I think from memory. I have -4.75 so had to pick a frame that could take the thicker lenses but found a pair I liked and love the finished result!
  15. As long as they have your current address they send you a letter months in advance warning you it is about to expire and so you need to renew it.
