I think it kind of also depends on your flying site, if it’s a nice BIG open space I would stick with the roos, if it’s a smaller space then I would go for a foil kite. Now this may just be me and how I fly but I think SLE need a bit of space to get going, you can’t just set of and with in the space of about 20m start jumping, I kind of need to build up to it. Unless your well powered and your probably not going to be to start with. Where as with a foil all the power and speed seem to be there from the off. (Well it is when you fly a Frenzy in land ).I do really like the way some SELs like Irons and Roos fly and handle inland and you feel very safe in strong winds with all that depower to hand. I don’t like fixed kites very much for landbarding, they have there uses, just not for me with a board.
Give the 9m Waroo another go in some nice 15ish mph winds, your not going to be well powered but it should be plenty to see how you get on with then inland.
