  1. Hi, I'm after your generosity again guys, i'm doing a charity abseil this sunday in aid of the stroke association at Wrexham Fire Station. If any of you would be willing to sponsor me even the smallest amount i'd be really greatful. http://www.justgiving.com/lianwilliams Thanks and see you all soon, glad you had a good hol
  2. Ive never flown inland before, so what would be a fair wind, you can get going on the beach in 12/15mph does it work the same inland, did you camp over. After you've flown inland you will apreciate the beach a whole lot more I've flown at Wallop which is ok (but too busy for me!! ) and also in Coventry at their kite festival last year and it's pretty rubbish trees, buildings etc get in the way of the wind...if you've got no alternative then it's the chance to fly but if you're near a beach it would be a beach call for me everytime. Never been to Airbossworld though so give it a go and let us know how you get on.
  3. Yeah you're ok for land stuff but not water at prestatyn. We've been busy moving this week and Phil is working today but we'll definately be in need of some sea air tomorrow. Believe some folk are over in Shell. Heard a rumour last night that a kite shop has opened in Rhyl????? Anyone know anything or been in? Mainly kitesurf stuff I think
  4. Thanks everyone:) Looking forward to a catch up at Shell if not before, see you all soon x
  5. We went to the beach today, threw around a 2.5 Rage in easterly winds and then got engaged!!! I've got a loverrrrlllyyyy ring :):):):)
  6. Hi would love to see the other photos stick them on the north wales thread, if you don't mind thanks http://community.flexifoil.com/showthread.php?t=93602
  7. Hi really good to see you lot on Sunday. Would like you to go back to Norway though, we had more wind when you were there lol. Only kiddin glad you're all back in one piece even if some of the cars aren't oops!!! Can't make it to Shell this weekend or next but we are going on the 11th, 12th and 13th of May so if anyone fancies it Evening sessions now after work too whoopeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. Phil has asked me to post the following response for him as he is currently at work. I'd like to thank you all for your concern, I am an adult however and I know the risks when I decide to participate in extreme sports. I would always recommend wearing a helmet. I always wear knox body armour, and 95% of the time a full face motor cross helmet...I will be sure to have it on tomorrow when i'm flying at 35,000 ft.
  9. Thanks for the pics, def get the cobwebs off your kit, long nights now so as the Tall one said on Sunday double low tides soon. Hardly enough wind to get my venom in the air but it did go up at the end of the seesion, thanks for the moral support of everyone else at the beach. Phil is a brilliant and safe flier. I have his safety more at heart than most and believe me if the wind had been stronger than 10mph he would've had it on, he had his full body armour on, I know this doesn't excuse it but he is an adult! The Turbulence team do a really good job of ensuring the safety of the North Wales fliers and there were 3 qualified first aiders on the beach that day, i personally feel safe flying alongside them. I'm just disappointed that the good nature of a passer by taking photos and a really sunny session has ended like this. In future I think I'll be giving out my personal email for photos to be sent to rather than all this.
  10. Don't think that it's IT probs most of the usual suspects who post on here are in Norway are they not??? In fact should be due home pretty soon so expect the Nem back on with plenty of news, looking forward to hearing about it Bern, going to check out the pics now
  11. Happy Birthday Natty Actually put my rage up for a short while today! Then proceeded to play with a buzz which was great fun :) Have a great time in Ireland everyone and fly safely. See you soon

  17. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE Hope everyone has a brilliant new year Lian and Phil xxx
  18. I may have given Dave a girly hair cut this summer...my apologies again Dave, but really would a female be daft enough to do the stuff that these guys do??? Yet to see one but if anyone knows of anyone then footage please

  20. Just a quick hello, don't seem to have had chance to see/speak to any of you for ages but hopefully catch up soon, i'm jumping on the net as and when I can but if you're doing anything exciting then email cos I don't always get chance to check the forums. Hope you're all well :)

  22. Wow, sounds like you had a good time. Shame about the Chester kite festival Bernie, we went down to the Coventry one which was good and would've willingly crashed the Chester one too but not if it's the same weekend as Kite Jam sorry. Big Congratualtions to Aye who passed her GCSE's this week And since next Wed is prob going to be the last BBQ (of the summer at least) be good to see you all. Gotta show these Northen folk how to BBQ in style!! Have a good bank holiday and see you next week
  23. We're back...did hear a rumour about a party/bbq. Question is, is Wales prepared for another invasion from Jnr? lol Def be there. See you at Weston before then though
  24. Was away Sat at Coventry Kite festival, but looks like we missed a good one Sat night....to be honest though we were all a bit shattered, two sessions on Friday and another Sat morning....I ache everywhere...and Louise I STILL HAVE THE BRUISES!!! Good to see some new faces on the beach on Friday night think I counted 12 kites in the sky at once Shame about yours though Vern but hey at least the quick release worked. May see you all out early this week, tides look ok but haven't seen what the wind is doing yet....tonight ? but the rest of the week looks pants...swinging easterly. Si I have a video cassette from Leto for you, i'll leave it in my car for next time I see you.
