  2. For sale : a used 2007 north vegas 9m with bag, and a 2007 north bar and lines. £150 for the kite, £80 for the bar/lines or £220 for both and you can have a pump as well http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5173/5400323679_21fe0734da.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5136/5400924114_9e69994982.jpg see more pics Last Import - a set on Flickr The kite flys well and is still in good condition for its age. It has one ~1cm rip which i have taped over with spinnaker tape (see red tape in pics). No other tears, patches or repairs I had the LE bladder professionally replaced last year but the struts are all original. It is a two pump system and holds it air with no leaks. I have recently replaced the grey depower line and the red safety line on the bar/lines. Pick up from hampshire area preferable although i will post at your cost (around £20 i think to UK mainland) advertised elsewhere

  7. i would consider a part exchange for a 7m vegas/rebel but thats about it. In terms of offers yes possibly so make one and we'll see
  8. oh. nope im afraid i dont - money is far more appealing!
  9. no one want a nice kite?
  10. I always used to stay hooked in so left the leash attached to the chicken loop as in the pic. The chicken loop itself and leash attachment are ALWAYS attached to the harness but if you get into trouble you push the red thingy effectively releasing the bar from the chicken loop so it hangs on the leash (still attached to you) and depowers. If you do it your way and hook onto the harness then yes the leash gets twisted if you twist the bar. (I havent flown it for a LONG time so this is from memory...)
  11. I will ship it overseas providing you pay the extra postage cost and all payment clears before i send it.
  12. i have taken a few pics of the kite indoors - havent had a chance to get it in the air! see below: kite bar close up
  13. Hi. Its RASTA - looks good! i will get some pics when i get home after the weekend.
  14. This kite has been very well used but no canopy rips. One of the batton holder stitchings came undone so i have sewed it up with sail thread - holds fine. 5th line ready and ready to fly just £90!!
  15. Owned from new just over a year ago. good condition with original footstraps/fins. I learned to kitesurf on this board and loved it. Having just taken delivery of a smaller board this has to go. Bright yellow very easy to see in the water!
  16. Blade IV 6.5m extreme lines + traction bar owned from new just over a year ago, no rips/damage I moved to kitesurfing shortly after getting it so it didnt get much use at all! £310 inc insured postage pics on request

  18. I am looking for a repairer near by does anyone have any recommendations. thank you
  19. yes please - have pm'd you
  20. cool thanks guys ill give em a call tomorrow. Do the 08 bars have this problem? thinking i could do with relegating this to being a spare bar!
  21. i managed to break (another) piece of line on my 5th element 07 bar today . just wondering whats the bits called and how i go about getting a replacement... Its one of the two ropes which has the bar stopper plastic thing running up and down on. The grey rope ~3mm diam. Basically two of them running parallel take all the power of the kite straight through the bar and onto the chicken loop/harness. im guessing it broke because of rubbing on the hole in the bar it passes though - common problem so they should have spares right?! Do you know where i can get a new one? thanks:D
  22. right, well i put it on the heelside fin, screwed down with the piece of plastic meant for the leash on top and then all screwed down tight... Went over a wave, fell off and the thing ripped off the board inc my plastic bit. i have no idea how to secure it onto the board now as it keeps coming off - although maybe thats a gd thing:p
  23. ok, so next question... should the attachment be facing towards or away from the rider. its hard to explain but the part that screws down above the fin has a piece of webbing that then leads to the leash. if the attachment is screwed on facing forward it is then the farthest point towards the end of the board, minimizing anchoresque behavior. However if it faces back towards the middle of the board it is then facing the rider. I hope you know what im on about, if not ill try and explain better aha ok have a look at http://www.goextreme.dk/index.php?id=73 and the pic of the leesh attached to the board. in that pic it is facing forward - seems sensible to me..
  24. im not going to start a leash or no-leash topic because i know its been done to death. BUT when attaching a leash should it be on the heel-side or toe-side of the board, and why? (assuming it attaches to the fin mounting screws at the end) cheers
  25. yer i reckon i should be on the front page
