  1. Know any out there? Have recently managed to get some good photos of me and my friends jumping but i cant seem to find any galleries that let you simply upload files. I used to use a good site that required no log in and was quite good but i have forgotten the address. Im sure it was something like powerkites.co.uk but i have tried a bunch of combinations based around that addy and had no luck. I dont suppose you know of the site im talking about, it had a mainly black index page with a little lightening animation on it. Bit of a long shot i know! Cheers
  2. I bet that was a frantic scramble. Would have loved to have seen that. Worst wipe-out i have ever had i wasnt wearing killers so i didnt have time to be in pain, i was straight up and after the kite.
  3. Thats what i thought! Looks like a stump!
  4. A guy that my sisters bf knows is in hospital and has been for two weeks because he landed on his back. As it stands (no pun intended) he can only get out of bed for 20 minutes a day. For me it was probably landing on my head and then fliping over back on to me feet. Its all a bit hazy.
  5. yesterday i was flying my blade III 4.9 in about 13-15 mph which i am fairly comfortable with but dont forget that when you have an avereage wind speed of say 15mph which you are just comfortable with, when the wind gusts you will not be comfortable if you know what i mean!!!! I was flying quite happily until the wind gave a few violent gusts and i couldnt walk it back to the groud peg. I had to get my friend to pull me back and by pulling i mean he was doing a bear hug on my legs, but even then i was lifted straight out of his grasp. So you do need to be careful. You shouldnt really fly at you max possible speed because if it pics up suddenly.....(fill in the blank) im looking for some witty answers to that!
  6. where do you guys suggest i get a helmet? can anyone shout me a good one? what do you guys think to this one? http://www.activetoys.co.uk/ishop/955/shopscr1803.html
  7. Will be killer when i get to portsmouth. My cousin just ripped through his knees on a 3 meter beamer in portsmouth so my blade may strike again.
  8. Brilliant! 17mph here in hertfordshire tomorrow too! Gonna have to take the blade for one last spin before taking it to uni.
  9. HAHA, some pretty nasty knocks and bruises on there.
  10. beauty! gotta love the helmet!
  11. ouch. Would have been more funny if you hit the sign. Its always good to walk away from a crunch like that though
  12. I know what you mean. But i bet you if you got him a bullet then he would stick with it. Its a great kite. And just to remind him of how you can get hurt, point him here http://www.powerkiters.co.uk/g1/gallery/ouch
  13. a bullet will allow him to do rec kiting and buggying. Its a good kite to fly if you havnt got a load of experience. Its not going to lift you off of the ground without you even doing anyything like the blade will but its deffinatly enough to jump and scud to your hearts content providing you have good technique. It kind of forces you to be a good kiter which i like.
  14. dont blame you! mwhahahah
  15. if he is good with the blade then maybe get something like a bullet. It might be a bit dodgy getting him a blade for his first kite but the flexifoil bullet is a nice intermediate kite. Maybe a 3.5. They are great.
  16. Hah yeah. I screwed that one up! HAHA. DAMN MY DYSLEXIA
  17. thats a pretty odd analogy! cant wait to get my blade to the beach. Sand is a softer landing then the hard ground, well, until its wet! Then it becomes like sement.
  18. deffinatly worth changing the HQ handles for flexi ones. Although im starting to loose faith in the standard flexi ones cause my friends broke in half today.
  19. just simply make a loop with the killers and attatch it to the knot on your brake lines. Good move though. I would never fly my blade without the killers. Despite being a fairly experienced flyer you still get the odd blade bite where it will rip the handles out of your hands. Are you not getting killers supplied with your blade? You should be getting the bag, lines, killers and kite if you are buying it from stock.
  20. You should be. Blades feed on children! Its not the gental giant that the beamer is. Today i had the best days flying i have ever had and the reason for this was that i have a new found respect for my 4.9 blade because yesterday it trashed me. Start off slow and then build your confidence up. Then you will be hurt. Then you realise the damage it can do and can get really into flying it. Hopefully later tonight i can post a couple of pics of the mammoth jumps i did on it today. Have fun with it, i know you will.
  21. seriously. you cannot learn on that beast! You should get yourself a smaller kite even if you think its not as fun. For really high winds you will not be able to fly the blade and you will need a smaller kite. I suggest a beamer 3.5 or something in that area.
  22. my ankles seemed to hurt alot at first. I have always had week ankles but recently i think they are getting used to the pressure i put on them. Im still always scared of twisting them though, especially on the board.
  23. That was one horrible coud! It went over in about 60 Seconds im sure!
  24. Well it was soft before the bump came up! I will deffinatly invest in a helmet. Cant be too careful! Although i never expected to land on my head. Its never happened before today and before today i never understood how it could really happen. Now i know how. But seriously, there is nothing wrong with blender food!
  25. yeah, whats a 5.5 bullet like compaired to a 4.9 blade?
