  12. Hello I went out again on sunday and thanks to the boys down at Amaroo I am now able to do laps around the oval. I still have 'the walk of shame' but that may have been due to needing a slightly bigger kite for the day. I had a great time and learnt a lot. I didn't have any sideways pull as I was shown where to put the kite and where not to let the kite go and how to turn (thats fun). After two hours this time I was buggered and had to stop, and today I hurt a lot! but it must be doing my arm and back muscles some good. Regan did really well too, he was flying a 4.5 and a 6m rage and he could change ovals and go up and down a little hill. Can't wait to have some more practice down at the beach on the long weekend. I'll definately have a go at skudding, although I seem to have an inability to slide - yep, cant slide in socks on tiles, on a tennis court and probably the beach! Once I figured out where my kite should go and the wind was not gusty I wasn't afraid of it anymore either - although I did make a bunch of little kids laugh when I launched my kite, my buggy took off and I started screaming again! Bring on the long weekend.:rofl::rofl:
  13. We were on an oval with very very short grass.
  14. Hello, So I now have my very own buggy. I tried it out last weekend but I didnt have much fun. For starters the wind was gusty and yuk, but it was the act general fly day and I was excited. I wasn't game to fly my sting statically as, as soon as I picked it up it dragged me a couple of feet! Secondly I was getting used to my new back strap. So I thought I would have a go in my buggy, as then its supposed to drag me around. Well it dragged me alright, after maybe 5 minutes I was puffing from the effort of trying not to be pulled out of the buggy sideways! all from a 1.7m kite! For reference Regan was able to go ok with the sting, and Gary was flying a 2.5m yukooza, but I am half his size. In the end I gave up as the wind actually pulled my buggy sideways a couple of times. Is this because the wind was gusty? or will it always pull me so hard sideways? I'm hoping for some nice gentle wind on the weekend so I can have another go, hopefully with my 3.5 cult, but if the wind is decent theres no way! advice/ reassurance needed please

    Jervis bay

Jervis bay is a beautiful place! I don't know about the landboarding aspect but it can't hurt to take it all along!
