  2. Congratulations to the inventor of the HTFU shot, Mr Lincoln Gibson who is the winner of the SAKSA slogan comp. Thanks to all the shops Lincoln will be styling it up with, a Dakine waist harness courtesy of The Kite Factory a Cabrinha pack courtesy of Onboard and a Flexifoil pack courtesy of Glascraft Once again thanks to all the shops for their hookups and congratulations Lincoln- if you pm me with your details I will organise for you to pick up your prizes !:D:D:D:D
  3. The date above is wrong- it will be the 15th and 16th of September. If there is wind shops will have some new kit for SAKSA members to demo and it will be a good chance to meet crew and shoot the breeze. No wind and we will organise some beach games. Either way we will be having a bbq for all SAKSA members, and it is a great chance to pay your fees to join up and get your insurance cover. By joining the association you will be aiding the growth of the sport and getting your public liability insurance- a small price to pay for peace of mind. Hope to see ya there !
  4. Saturday morning is looking good, where do you all wanna ride ? I am thinking chicken shop. Sunday is looking like nothing but I have heard a whisper that something might happen at Goolwa.
  5. Well aint that just typical- it looked so promising early Sunday but it just teased all day. The only action for me all weekend was at the bar !!!!! Looks like going off today and I'm back at work, bah!
  6. SAKSA- alone we luff, together we fly ! SAKSA- by kiters, for kiters.
  7. We will meet at the chicken shop at 10am if there is wind and go from there. Look for the saksa flag. Fingers crossed the wind comes to the party. If it looks good tell your friends and let's get a heap of people on the water. Bring a change of clothes if ya wanna go to the pub after !
  8. I like the way Rhys and Rhys are thinking- How about SAKSA- wind's up, we're gone SAKSA- wind's up, we're riding SAKSA- save our beach access
  9. I am very proud to announce the prizes on offer : Onboard has offered a Cabrinha pack, including a tshirt signed by Pete Cabrinha, cap, wallet and backpack. The Kite Factory has pulled out all stops and given us a Dakine waist harness. Glascraft has also joined the party with some Flexifoil t shirts and stubby holders for those after session beers. Thanks to all the shops for their support- somebody is going to love all that gear. We promised it would be worth ya while. Now keep the ideas coming !!!!!!!
  10. Well southerlies are predicted- where are people keen for ? I am thinking of victor being a good consistent chance. Locally the chicken shop works well in a southerly. Any better bets ? Looks like being hard and heavy early before mellowing out in the arvo- so get ya mugachino and hit it while it's crankin'.
  11. how about saksa - powered by wind
  12. We are trying to hold our state titles before the nationals so that the winners can get across to the nationals and strut some SA style ! Venue/ location is still up in the air, any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks for the feedback.
  13. Here are mine- SAKSA, it's all about hot air. SAKSA, we are addicted. SAKSA, wind junkies only !
  14. Well here it is - the official SAKSA slogan competition, start entering your best slogans for our association. Next week there will be the opportunity to vote for your favorite. The prizes are still being finalized but are well worth ya while !
  15. OK so we have finally decided on a suitable venue, the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club this Thursday- the 21st of June at 7pm. It is schnitzel night so come along and get a feed and keep up to date with what's going on !!
  16. The SAKSA meeting scheduled for tonight has been postponed due to the inability to find a suitable venue. It will occur next Tuesday the 19th. My apologies for any inconvenience caused.
  17. As far as I understood it was to be on the first tuesday or wednesday of june. I think if we make it for two weeks from today- say the twelfth of june it should be ok. Any objections ?
  18. All things considered I think a video night to start off with in a few weeks, a downwinder and a day trip and eventually a pub crawl all sound good. The paintball has a few keen boys but this one could cause serious carnage- so let's do that as well !!!!!
  19. Keen to get some social days happening, wine tours or pub crawls ? day trips ? kite dvd nights ? any ideas ?
  20. The sickest of sick weekends- wind, waves and so much red bull and beer ! No stories can be told as what happens in Robe stays there, but lock it in for next year as one of the most fun weekends possible. Big shouts to all the winners on the weekend- especially Dale, AKA Jacob who won the Nobile skimboard- your fins are on backwards !
  21. I will second that- Terrys efforts are greatly appreciated Now hurry up all you SA Kiters get on here and sign yourselves up !!!!!
