    Hi all, wondering if i can pick ya brains!! Has anyone travelled with american airlines and takn there kiting gear with them, i have been in contact with them and been advised that there will be a chare of $110 each way to take my kite bag. Have also read somewhere that some people take golf bags with them as you can get this on free??!! My problem is that i have not been doing it that long so have a big board (155cm square 2) and therefore cant fit this in a golf bag, that i can find anyway. Has anyone encountered this prob and if so have ya managed to get around it?? Bit long winded soz, Any help would be great.

    not sure hpw experienced the chap was but i would say he could have set up lower down the beach, it was very busy but im sure he could have found some room. i dont think he will be launching that afr up again and def not with the 12 in those winds.

    there is plenty of room regardless if tides in or out, he was just unlucky. The wind was blowing 20+mph and he went to pick up his board and then WOOSH:eek: was back down there this afternoon so must have had all the seaweed removed without problems;) .

    not very near at all, but the fella was at the top of the beach on the flat and he got pulled quite a way until he decided to leash!!!???     i was down shorham on sat and never saw any blue sirens down there, a guy did get pulled into the roundabout by his 12m takoon he was launching, leashed after jumping a parked car. left about 3 though!!!

    hello mate, alot of people kite at Sandbanks which is other side of the harbour. Nice shallow/Flat waters and i think you can kite in all wind directions. I have only been there once a few weeks ago but the local crew all seemed like nice people.
