  1. but they havent sewn it together properly ....
  2. 15 for skate trucks and 35 for channel...
  3. LOL. Strange things happening atm.... http://www.flexifoilforums.com/showthread.php?t=90454
  4. Cheers mate, is that excluding wheels etc? Lisa If you give me £250, I'll make you two ! Sounds like that might be bit off, but if I could realistically sell some for these prices I could make another demo for sure. Hmm... this could become a nice light wind money earner... lol No atm its for project purposes, but is something to definately look into. Any more suggestions are more than welcome:D , Cheers guys...
  5. :D I love it... more stable than my silver reef, more POP, and I got some proper jumps sorted on it today! Any idea of price... jus so i can put it in! would be appreciated, cheers
  6. hey... now this is funny... I was just leavin my local playing fields on my bike and a police car was speadin along, stopped and reversed back to me (i didnt have a front light and finkin oh ****, they're not gonna stop 4 me if they're in a hurry are they? whats the worst they'll do...) Then they say, were u jus flyin a kite... yer... oh we jus had a call that a paraglider had crashed and killed himself at church street! ...killed himself?!!! Yeah, Nah I'm fine, its like kitesurfin but on land so I guess I fell off a couple of times, but I get back up straight away... Oh as long as your alright thats ok, and they speed offf again LOL Anyone else had some similar funny experiences? People have such strange ideas...
  7. I don't know exactly how long it was before the vac bag was on:(, but I don't think it was a lot more than the pot life of 15mins. Cheers guys, and I'm sure you'll do just as well in this project Mattdez . If I made another, with a perfect (quicker finish) what would people expect to pay for it? Just so I have a price to quote! It cost (with trucks wheels etc off other board) under £100 and I was looking at the Flexifoil board type of price range (£200ish,) so would it be fair to say that a custom deck such, with customised shape, graphics etc as mine for someone would be in the region of £90??? If so and anyone wants one!... Nah just some reports from people saying, I'd be willing to spend up to .... would be kool.
  8. Thanks I'm hoping so. The temperature seemed ok - not too cold, but could well be that it wasn't in and sucking down quick enough... Put pump on as soon as all was in and clamped up. I tried! it was West system 5:1 I'm busily doing it now as it's supposed to be done before half term, but think I'm the only person to have done any writing! Well I'm nearing the end of Evaluation etc so shouldn't be long before I've finished. Hadn't realised your only 16 Mattdez as you seem to know lots about composites. How much do/ did you have to do for resistant materials gcse? Looking like it will be 22full A3 pages... enough?
  9. Yea, but the trucks are mounted slighlty wonky so its turned out having the bias - have to put all weight on heels to go upwind and can bear away real easy, only prob is when I get going it caught me out balance whys as i leaned back on heels but cant get upwind as quickly as poss. From the session I've had it seemd to have helped with speed wobble! Any suggestions on altering the truck angle now I've got the holes drilled wonky!!!??? Cheers guys, Oh... and my feet aren't exactly that shape, but it helps show it is a foot and the only foot shape on photoshop!
  10. This is how I based the design, as there seemed nothing on the market bridging the gap between extreme offset of flexifoil, and normal (silver reef etc) type shape that most boards are. I was aiming to keep the width around the feet as my scrub narrows on the heel where it is placed, which seems silly to me as it makes it less stable? I was "shaving some weight" on the middle lol and around the truck mounts. Didn't completely realise when I was designing the effect of a heelbiased offset but from my initial test it seemed to make it a bit more stable and comfortable:) http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f262/djw_57/shfddfcopy.jpg
  11. Lol. Mattdez, I had problems on the underneath where there were some air bubbles (which I've spent weeks trying to fill!) and unsure and worried how/why they appeared? Any explainations/experiences etc. as I wouldn't want to dive into carbon knowing what can happen!
  12. Thought about that aswell and thought the more complicated the graphics, much more room for error. I liked the wood look coming through the fibreglass, and with the footpads I feel it works ok. But yes if I make another I would do much better graphics... Kool cheers guys. The aluminium I had available was that width and wanted to keep bolts as far apart as poss. The bolts are M5 which is what MBS advice for fitting F3's. However if those brackets or bolts bend/brake whatever not the biggest of problems - I'm more worried about the actual board! Yea, Carbon looks interesting, but when I originally started a R+D guy from GI said carbon can work well, but Kevlar, foam etc can just ruin Pop completely so better to start simple. Thanks for those sites, will keep it in mind:D
  13. Oh rite! What school did you go to? its a newish tech block at QE (Faversham) so dunno if it even existed in your time!? No I didn't make the trucks, was thinking about it, but they would be like a whole project alone! I'm doing it for A-level next year so I'll be able to go further then. I can't see exactly what I need to do with the bindings Robmr2 as surely most bindings F3s etc are mounted in exaclty same way? (M5 bolts ~2.5cm apart) Theycould be filed down slightly, but counter sinking wouldn't help spread the strain. I have put larger washers under these bolts and I thinks theres other points of strain which would give in first? Thanks for the help tho people... keep it coming
  14. Sorry, do you mean eg. 2 bolts going through material and plastic of bindings, which then go through the plates rather than 1 on each side? This is designed so it can pivot on that side, and the other is attached onto the quick release ratchet thingy, but I had originally been thinking might be more supported with two...
  15. Hope that helps on the size issue. Maybe too big!? Well we were aloud to do whatever we wanted and most people made CD racks. I decided to spend the time to make something more usefull and helpfull and I'm definatley glad I did. It's taken since september, but most of the work was in the mould and filling the small imperfections which came up from small air bubbles.
