  3. Sounds mad to me. I mean how many of you are in AKA ? lets say 200 and the insurance is $10 that means insurance company has still not lost anything and will get even more money next year and im assuming that my figures are way to low. Are you sure this is the insurance company and not some little know it all. I mean I know from experience that not everyone in AKA is pro traction/power kites ?

    Jumping Do's and dont's

Hence you stick to buggy racing, which is fine... you choose. As long as the safety Nazis stay away all will be well. When instructing people on the dangers of doing the odd jump it should not be forgotten that the very picking up of an ATB board and kite marks you as a risk taker/adrenaline junky so saying "this is really really dangerous" is akin to saying " ohhh that will be fun if you get it right!" I bought a buggy, lost interest after a couple of days... very nice, fast and smooth,, but... dunno, just not very exciting to me. However, since discovering buggy freestyle I may be brushing up my skills this winter:D

  7. The problem with taking zoomed-out pics is that its harder to keep the kite and rider in frame but I shall try a few more of them if I get the opportunity again..... I also have to point out that the wind was not that good all week, mostly it was around 15mph from the same direction. Simon

  9. would have to disagree there. flexi made a superb kite with the blade 1, AT THE TIME. there was nothing in the same league as it. now what have they got!? a blade that was had its balls removed so it apeals more to the masses and a couple of blimps that are average at best. if they did put a shed load of money into r and d, they would have a depowerable foil on a par with the psycho or guerilla and a blimp that could boost as well as say the x4. it seems to me like they have put their efforts into building up a base of shops that supply flexifoil as pretty much their only kite. millets for example. the kite shop i used to work in that shall remain nameless. i got fed up cos the manager knew nothing about kites and pretty much only bought flexi because he was a 'main dealer'. he knew nothing apart from flexis advertising blurb. if you ask most newbie flyers, they have only heard of flexifoil and if your lucky ozone. there are a shed load of other kites out there that seriously outperform flexi stuff but the vast majority of kiters dont know about them! my favourite kite by a long way is my x2. ask most people and they have never heard of it, 'is it made by flexifoil?'. it is to inflatables what the blade 1 was to foils. superb! and unlike flexi, naish have spent time and money developing it through x3 and now x4. they have a load of other kites that suit a range of styles. dont get me wrong, im not working for naish! there are plenty of other manufacturers on a par with them. it seems to me that flexi have the market sewn up so they can release blade 3, bullet, storm 1, 2 and 3 and the strike which in my mind are nothing special and they will sell like hot cakes just because they are probably the biggest name with the best market. there are loads of fords on the road, doesnt mean they are good! last few years i have gone away from flexi for my stuff. i want seriously high performance and they just dont cut it anymore. just my thoughts, feel free to lay on the neg reps, i dont care!

Damn that was fun! Swannies GPS read 45.4 mph and covered 50 miles in the 2 hours and he was a lap behind me and two on Steelie! I have never hurt so much as yesterday morning (I have a bruise the size of a rugby ball in my right arm!). Still well worth. Good one Gray, Johnny and the girls!
