So it is nearly mid summer and everyone is thinking of a summer holiday getting a tan, kitesurfing etc etc ... and I have been talking today with a friend about snowkiting in Sweden and there are a lot of very interesting places to go if you wanted. The problem comes mainly with TIME and MONEY the further North you go the more time consuming and the more costly BUT the greater the rewards... So the real questions are if you would like to go... 1) how much would you be prepared to spend 2) how long would you want to go for 3) when would you want to go bearing in mind it is damn cold in the very north in mid winter (and very dark a lot too ) any i…

I can get a deal on an older F-one 9m foil. I have seen it flown in 12km/h winds. I weigh ~68kg. I'm new to this and don't know much about this kite at all. I'm really leaning towards a 10m Frenzy but this will save me a lot of $$. I don't even know the name of the kite and google searches haven't turned up anything so I'm just looking for general comments on or F-1 (lift, pull, quality, etc.)? It's an older pre 2002 ram air foil. Sorry but that's all I know.

Can I get some opinions on the Blade 3. I weigh about 68kg and the winds here are normally in the 6-16 kph range. I have been dual line kiting for 10+ years but just started kite skiing this year. The lesson I took was on a 10m Frenzy and I found that very manageable. I'm now considering a Frenzy or a 8.5m Blade III. I am viewing it as good in between kite as opposed to obtaining both a 7m and 10m kite this year. I have been told the Blade series has considerably more lift then the frenzy and being that the world of traction is new to me, this is a concern. Given my weight and wind conditions, is the 8.5m a good choice? Any other thoughts? I would like to…

Mammoth Mountain, Cali opened today. Very thin on the ground at the moment but still nice to get out and stretch those legs It's looking good for some more snow this weekend to fill in all those brown gaps. It's still dry as a bone up around Tahoe still... fingers crossed for things to change soon http://www.csa-interactive.com/flexifoil/mammoth.jpg

Thought I'd upload some old kiteskiing pics from 2001 and 2003. The earlier ones are with skis and handles, yet I determined that bars and snowboards made much more sense. Kites were PL 5.7 Waterfoil (very early days) and PL 1120 ARC (way ahead of its time). I have some accompanying video though I need to wait a week for Vimeo to reset my quota (free account :-) ). Snowkiting is amazing, and Australia is the perfect place for it (undulating hills). From Scotts chair out to Mt McKay is my favorite spot. Close enough to be rescued (if needs be) yet far enough to enjoy the silence!

Amaury flying in Aubrac (snowkite) on Vimeo This is a recent video of the Pulse 2 flown by FS Team Rider Amaury Couvreur in the South of France The Pulse 2 sometimes gets labeled as Flysurfers "entry level" kite Including a really sweet speed run with jumps near the end. Not much entry level about the float & jumps in this vid IMO!.

Hi Guys, Abe here, Hope you are all having some superkitedays! I just got back from the SKM 2012 and it was awesome. I have some very cool pics on facebook and some siCk videos coming out very soon. I was staying with GG and Guillaume and it was very cool to ride with them everyday. They are both living legends, I was stoked to learn from them because I watched there old videos on youtube when I first got into Kiteoarding and it was a dream to ride with them let alone live with them for 10days! It was a SuperKiteDay every day and there was only one day with not much wind and that gave me a chance to talk and film the other riders. Stay tuned to my youtube channe…
