DaveA Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 Well i FINALLY got to fly my new Talon this weekend, if only for an hour or so. Ive had the thing for about 6 weeks but he winds weve had down here have been diabolical, especially on weekends it would seem And i can glady say the kite is definately an "A bagger", but those who have already got one wont be surprised at that. Despite forking out the rather large sum of money for it, for some reason i was a little aprehensive about whether i would like it, being a British kite i guess i was expecting it to be "Benson-esqe", and ive never been able to connect with Bensons. Anyway, my fears were put to rest immediately, the kite was stable and predictable just how i like it, and easily did everything i asked of it (my limited range of tricks isnt worth listing). For some reason it reminds me a little of both the Flying Wings Soul and Level One Genesis, which just happened to be my number 1 and 2 kites before now. So that cant be too bad. I'm rapt with my new toy Quote

Two Hands Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Dave, Mate, it's a sweet thang I echo the desire for images also! (maybe a little video?) It might be said that I'm a bit of a fan of the Talon But thats only cos it makes me look better than I am It definitely has it's own set of inputs, kindly it will take both hard and fast as well as slower and more subtle inputs, so a great all rounder. When I started flying it I was really happy if it was 8-10 knots. But of late, with quicker inputs, the 11-15 knot wind days are drawing me in more and more. It's got a nice wide sweet spot for 'having a play'. Promise you'll drop back with a second report after you've got used to it. TH Quote
Frostillicus Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Yeah but how much time do you need with the colourizer?! Quote
DaveA Posted August 15, 2009 Author Report Posted August 15, 2009 Yeah but how much time do you need with the colourizer?! I actually found it was much easier just selecting a colour scheme from one of the huge selection already on the JoE website. Im not very artistic myself, but i know what i like when i see it. Quote
KaoS Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Dave, wait till you try my Focus Hydra. Your Talon may be relegated to the B bag Quote
