bartiebat1599968741 Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 The balance board's gunna bring out loads of new games; I've heard there's a snowboard one due out; we reckon a balance board with controller & nunchuck could provide the first kitesurfing/landoarding game ..... what dyu think, any more? kraftyone Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 how about a slow-mo bullet dodging matrix type game Quote
Frakke1599968664 Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Wii fit already has downhilll ski slalom downhill snowboard slalom ski jumping amongs other "balance type games" and as you cannot jump on the fit board per se it may limit the amount "tricks" you can do in an SSX scenario unless they get really smart not saying it isn't possible but notice that Wii sports IMO has the most fun bowling tennis and boxing compared to the dedicated that type game to come out... Oh and for now if you ride "goofy" then you're screwed until you learn to ride regular (like me ) F Quote
oc1rob Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Oh and for now if you ride "goofy" then you're screwed until you learn to ride regular (like me ) F oooh had not considered that!! Have only played quickly on my sisters wii-fit and had not made it to unlocking the snow boarding (but then again what do you expect for 20 minutes game play! - still trashed a load of her scores LOL) I guess there is not swap round then! Do you have to tunr the board round 90 degs to play it?? Quote
Absolut Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Yes you do turn the board around. Really hoping they bring out some more games - justify the £70 spend a little Maybe proper games rather than concentrating on the fitness side so much. Quote

Just wich I could get hold of one!! LOL Quote
Frakke1599968664 Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 you can try and do it looking in a mirror and then at the TV... mind you you do look like more of a dork..... maybe SSX type games will give you the option ... I think they had goofy riders in the PS2 versions @Abs ... It was desinged as a fitness board first and foremost so what did you expect.... look at it this way 2 months subs to the local gym usually cover the cost of Wii Fit and you can do the fitness in your own home without looking like a totaltplonker down the gym.. A friend of mine has bought this as a fitness exerciser and is using it religiously. total loss so far I think is 3 - 4 Kg for 2 hours a day. which reminds me you can only register 3 hours a day in the piggy bank F Quote
Absolut Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Knew it was gonna be a fitness focussed game - just hoping that going forward they concentrate on the game side a little more to raise enjoyment! And my point was more that the cost could be justified a bit more if they intend to bring out more games that utilise the balance board. Asked the question in a shop the other day, and they hadn't heard that anything else was going to be released, but it's still a bit early for anything to be imminent Quote
grantyg Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 yep kiting is a very minority sport - you`d be better getting outside and flying real kites Quote

matty_cross Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 Where does one get a wii fit from thats under £120 ? Out of stock everywhere ! Quote
Draggin Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 I promised somebody Wii fit as a birthday present and ended up having to drive 130 miles to the shop to collect it. It was the only one I could find in stock. Check the Argos web site, as you can check out all the stores local to you and then reserve it to collect in store, that what I did, even phoned customer service in the morning to check it was available and not an error.
