Wii fit already has

downhilll ski slalom

downhill snowboard slalom

ski jumping

amongs other "balance type games"

and as you cannot jump on the fit board per se it may limit the amount "tricks" you can do in an SSX scenario unless they get really smart

not saying it isn't possible but notice that Wii sports IMO has the most fun bowling tennis and boxing compared to the dedicated that type game to come out...

Oh and for now if you ride "goofy" then you're screwed until you learn to ride regular (like me :o)

oooh had not considered that!!

Have only played quickly on my sisters wii-fit and had not made it to unlocking the snow boarding (but then again what do you expect for 20 minutes game play! - still trashed a load of her scores  LOL)

I guess there is not swap round then! :(

Do you have to tunr the board round 90 degs to play it??

Yes you do turn the board around.

Really hoping they bring out some more games - justify the £70 spend a little

Maybe proper games rather than concentrating on the fitness side so much. :)

you can try and do it looking in a mirror and then at the TV... mind you you do look like more of a dork..... maybe SSX type games will give you the option ... I think they had goofy riders in the PS2 versions

@Abs ... It was desinged as a fitness board first and foremost so what did you expect....

look at it this way 2 months subs to the local gym usually cover the cost of Wii Fit and you can do the fitness in your own home without looking like a totaltplonker down the gym..

A friend of mine has bought this as a fitness exerciser and is using it religiously. total loss so far I think is 3 - 4 Kg for 2 hours a day.

which reminds me you can only register 3 hours a day in the piggy bank

Knew it was gonna be a fitness focussed game - just hoping that going forward they concentrate on the game side a little more to raise enjoyment!

And my point was more that the cost could be justified a bit more if they intend to bring out more games that utilise the balance board. :) Asked the question in a shop the other day, and they hadn't heard that anything else was going to be released, but it's still a bit early for anything to be imminent :)

I promised somebody Wii fit as a birthday present and ended up having to drive 130 miles to the shop to collect it. It was the only one I could find in stock.

Check the Argos web site, as you can check out all the stores local to you and then reserve it to collect in store, that what I did, even phoned customer service in the morning to check it was available and not an error.
