All I can say is WOW :D

Borrowed the kite on Monday afternoon from Sky High Kites in Aylesbury and took it on the Downs for around an hour and I fell in love with the thing.

Wind was constant around 7 to 8mph and got up to 10mph by the time I left but I could not believe how much power and lift it produces.

Got some great scuds and a few little jumps but nothing too much as I didn't have any safety kit on and was conceous (bad spelling) it really could bite back if I abused it.

The control you have with the kite is fantastic and I certainly felt at one with it by the time the sun was setting, just a shame that there was no more light as I could have spent hours learning how it behaves.

After thinking hard about my next purchase I spoke with John and deal was done and I am now the proud owner of a midnight Blade.

Roll on the weekend and lets hope for some not too strong winds as I don't want to be taking it out in anything over 10mph at the moment until I have spent several hours learing its personality.

One question on the AAA bridle as the kite was already set up, the main lines should attach to the very bottom knot (below the four knots for the AAA) and then further up you have 4 knots which control the power of the kite for lift etc ?

For some reason the main line was hooked above the top knot of the AAA bridle which looked incorrect to me

on the main line , there are 3 positions - they change the angle of the kite in flight....1 is less lift/kite flys faster, and has less static lift...2 is normal...3 is slower thro the sky,but more powerful/quite grunty/may be difficult to launch.....myself and everone i know who fly iv;s , mostly use the first 2 positions, mostly flying in the normal position , and occasionlly use the first for gustier wind conditions:)

Was out with my blade IV 4m today, 15mph gusting to 20mph quite scary at times, only had mine for few weeks so im still learning with it at the mo, Im managaging the odd small jump but im still trying to get the hang of that. its also worth experimenting with the triple A bridle adjuster, it seems to make a hell of a difference to lift and speed depending on wind conditions.

Congrats on a sweet kite! Once youve got the 4.9 figured, go for the 6.5!
