Andy Mac Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Very good wind down along the Bellarine Penninsula of the southerly kind this weekend. I put the narrow axle back on the buggy for some light wind entertainment early last week and hadn't changed back before getting out Friday and again this morning in stronger winds. 69.9km/hr coming back from Pt Lonsdale (It was a much slower reach to get up there - 20 to 30km/hr). Felt VERY fast with the twitchy narrow axle on and the buggy is considerably lighter with the short axle and narrow wheels. Two wheel action at +50km/hr anyone? Might have to consider that full face helmet. This morning was similar conditions, powered up fully with Yakuza 5.0m and hit 67km/hr on a solid gust (Avg was between 50 and 60 mostly), again coming back from the lighthouse. Makes me laugh out loud - and people wonder what the attraction is.... Bigfoot buggy up and running Will get off my butt and post a couple of pics. Sandy Point will be a whole new experience. Quote
